You panted as you wiped away the sweat gathering on your forehead. Your gear, which consisted of a combat attire consists of a desert-colored military jacket, bulletproof armor of the same color, and combat boots, as well as a white muffler around your neck. You felt a little uncomfortable wearing it in the hot weather, but you had to persevere.
You were acting in an action movie alongside a few actors including the rising star, Zen. Zen, or rather, Hyun Ryu, acted as the protagonist, a brave gunner who wielded a pistol and a laser sword and defended the world of terrible monsters. You acted as his support, a woman who was a lone wolf and wielded a sniper and a rifle proficiently.
"Hey, nice work out there." You commented as you and Zen grabbed a drink. Zen nodded, panting from the last scene that had him running and shooting the antagonist.
"You're not too bad yourself either." Zen chuckled breathily, messily wiping off his sweat.
"Thanks...Man, what luck I've got...My first gig...And it has to be this movie.."You gasped as you fell onto a nearby chair. Zen followed suit, his breathing becoming less labored.
"Sucks to be you. Hey, wanna rehearse this scene?"
When it came to work, Zen was the most focused. He never really takes breaks and often spent his time rehearsing and practicing his lines and actions. You did like that he was a hard worker, but it was infuriating that you could barely talk to him before he redirected the conversation back to work.
"Right, so this scene, you are supposed to detonate a bomb that will kill us both before the zombies overwhelm and kill us. This should be easy."Zen commented as you gazed at his face. This was the last scene for you in the movie while Zen will continue in the last part. You had read through the story and you couldn't help but feel sad that you would not see him anymore.
In the last few scenes of the movie, Zen's character would wake up from the dream and realized that he had been in a coma after getting caught in a car accident with his lover, which was actually your character, who supported him and had died in the accident. You actually cried when you saw the script when you first read it, but now, you felt the cold tug of melancholy at your heart. Slowly, you had fallen in love with the white haired man, who did not seem to notice.
"Zen, (F/N)! Get over here! It's time for the next scene!" Yelling in response, the both of you had to let the makeup artists touch up your makeup as well as the fake wounds on Zen.
Standing in the middle of the 'plains' and with the green screens that will project the background and zombies in the movie, you prepared to film your last scene.
"And...Action!"
You glanced at Zen, who wore a sheepish expression,"You're a mess. Seriously...I told you time and again to take care of yourself."
You got into character quickly as you imagined everything to be in the universe of the show.
Right on cue, you could hear the crunching of dead leaves and branches, signaling the zombies' approach.
"Well, it was nice knowing you, Jun. I hope we can meet again in another life." You gave Zen a genuine smile as his eyes showed slight bewilderment. The smile had taken him off guard as you fumbled in your pockets.
"Now, let's end this." You said, searching in your pockets.
"But how? We're all out of ammo and weapons. And we're both injured..."Zen frowned, staying in character.
"Well, back in our town, there was a couple who were overwhelmed by zombies and managed to wipe off most of them even though they died. Because they were desperate and not willing to go on to the afterlife without the other, they hit each other with a present grenade."You found the item and hid it inside your hand as Zen became confused. This was clearly not scripted.
"Present grenade? What's that?"Zen looked puzzled as you took his warm hand and pressed the object into his hand. Pressing the button, the grenade began to tick as Zen began to panic, tossing the grenade hand to hand as he fumbled about.
With a happy cry, you launched yourself at Zen with a hug, catching the grenade in between your bodies as it seemed to activate, cueing the 'explosions' all around. A few seconds later, the director finally spoke.
"Cut!"
"That was perfect, (F/N)! Well done!" Your manager praised you as you nodded, solemn and staring at the worn script you often brought with you.
"....It's over..." You muttered to yourself, sad. You wanted to talk and work with Zen a little more.
You were then aware of someone walking in front of you and offering a hand and a snow white card.
"Zen?" You were suprised as Zen flushed slightly as he passed you a card with a hastily written number and his signature in its front.
"...Call me...Alright?" Zen gave you a shy smile.
"A-Alright!" You flushed and nodded, smiling back sheepishly.
Perhaps, you two might be a lot closer now.
