I stood there near the terminal as I patiently waited for him

I stood there near the terminal as I patiently waited for him. I ran my fingers through my hair as I waited for them to be let out the plane. I double checked myself to make sure I was waiting at the right place and I was. A few minutes passed and I thought maybe I had gotten the wrong plane or his flight was cancelled.

I turned on the back of my heel prepared to go ask someone if anything had happen, when I noticed the doors opening. A few people came out slowly and my smile grew as soon as I saw the tall dirty blonde male.

I didn't waste no time as I ran into his arms and wrapped my body around him as he picked me off the floor. Last year- he came into my life then had to leave. Now he's back... For me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as I held onto him. I didn't wanna let go anytime soon. I was just so happy he was back. For good. After a few moments I pulled back and I could feel someone's eyes on us but decided not to pay attention to it. I smiled as he looked up at me. I brought my lips to his and he kissed back. I missed his kisses so much.

"Hi." I whispered as I broke away.

"Hey." He chuckled as he pressed his forehead against mine. His right hand pulled my left hand off of him. His eyes lit up as he saw the ring. I couldn't help but blush as I watched him kiss my fingers. He let me down and I soon missed his touch. "I have so much to tell you."

"I'm so glad you're back. It's good to have you back." I admitted as I looked up at him now that I was on my feet. In the corner of my left eye I could see someone staring at us. I couldn't shake the feeling as I turned around to see who it was.

There were two brunettes standing there with their luggages. One of them looked much taller than the other. They had similar features. I rose my eyebrows as I made eye contact with both of them.

"That's one of the things I wanted to.. tell you." His voice trailed as he noticed me notice the two females. I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked up at him.

"You better explain, huckleberry. Real quick." I growled as I locked eyes with him. My boyfriend, fiancé? I wasn't sure anymore, had brought home two beautiful girls? I could feel myself become more jealous as I thought of the reasons on why he would.

"Alright, first off calm down." He tensed up when I crossed my arms over my chest. "Sienna and Astrid are two girls I met last year. They were coming to New York too, since Sienna is transferring colleges and Astrid is her sister. They have family here."

"That doesn't explain why they are with you?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I told them how I booked the flight to come back and they thought it was a good idea to come with-" I turned on my heels and began walked towards the girls when Lucas ran in front of me. "I promise you have nothing to worry about. They're both great."

"Then why shouldn't I meet them?" I faked a smile as I walked towards the girls. The taller one was on her phone while the other watched me as I came closer to her. She gently nudged her sister who looked up at her confused then towards me with a smile growing.

"Hey, you're Maya!" The taller one exclaimed when I came closer to them with Lucas standing next to me. "Lucas never shuts up about you."

"Oh really?" I raised my eyebrows as I looked over at him and he tried to hide the blush that appeared on his cheeks.

"Huckleberry has never really mentioned two pretty girls that he knows so well till now. How do you know Lucas?" I asked as I glanced between the girls.

"Huckleberry?" The smaller one whispered under her breath and I barely caught her saying anything. I nodded my head at her and she quickly looked away when our eyes locked.

"Well then. I'm Astrid and this is Sienna." Astrid explained as she motioned between her and her sister. "Well I met Lucas in my public speaking class. I introduced him to Sienna and we started going to his games, hanging out doing homework, and grabbing a bite to eat when we were all free. Then Sienna a couple weeks ago got accepted into one of the best music programs in New York so we decided to come with him back."

"So you and him spent a lot of time together?" An uneasy laugh escaped my lips as I faked a smile.

"Welllll- I guess you could say that. Sienna always tagged along so we were never really alone." She shrugged her shoulders. "He always told us he had a girlfriend, so I couldn't put the moves on him."

She laughed and so did I, but I was gritting my teeth as the sound came out my mouth.

"Put the moves on him?" I furrowed my eyebrows as my blue orbs locked with Lucas's green ones. He looked worried as if he didn't want me to find out something.

"I had a small crush on Lucas when I first met him. C'mon he's your average college sweetheart. On the football team, a caring, smart and not an asshole or the type of guy who takes advantage of girls. You are so lucky." She sighed but I could feel my hand curl into a fist.

"Well, we should be going.. I gotta go unpack and I'm sure you two have to too." Lucas wrapped his arm around me which caused me to uncurl my fist and relax.

My eyes moved to the smaller female who looked my height, Sienna, she hadn't said much. Her sister talked more than her and she stayed quiet. She seemed surprised that I called Lucas by his nickname. She made me feel uneasy, but at the same time I assumed I did the same to her cause whenever I tried to look her in the eyes. She would quickly dart her eyes away and act as if she didn't notice me.

Was it possible that she had grown feelings for Lucas as well? Her sister had no problem admitting she had feelings for Lucas when they met. Lucas was a dream guy to any girl. He was caring and I'm sure he cared for both of them. I looked down at my hand as I noticed the way the diamond gleamed. Lucas loves me. He wouldn't leave me for either of them, right?

He had spent a whole year away from me and spent it with these two girls. Who were both beautiful and smart. Lucas began to say his goodbye to the girls and I watched as they hugged him quickly while the smaller one held onto him for a small moment then releasing him. I laced my fingers with his as I said our goodbyes and Lucas told them to call him.

My blood began to boil. Why was I acting so jealous? I had a right to..? Right?

I can't go through it again.. I can't. Josh cheated on me and left me. That was my last serious relationship before Lucas and it destroyed me. Lucas was a piece of me and if anything happened. What would happen to us? I don't know if I could handle it.

Josh had kissed me even when he had a fiancé- But Josh isn't Lucas. Lucas isn't Josh. He could never hurt me.. At least not intentionally.
