Recap:
“Lexi, do you remember that night when that guy stabbed you with a poison?” He asked.
“No?” Okay, this guy is definitely smoking something.
“Your body had a dangerous reaction to the chemical he stabbed you with. Your system shut down putting you into a coma. You lost all brain function, we didn't think you would come out of the coma. It's a miracle you're even alive.”
“What?” I said barely above a whisper.
“How long have I been out?” I asked.
“four years.”

(Couple month's later)
I ended up leaving the hospital four weeks later, due to my quick recover the doctors say that it was a miracle that I even survived with the amount of poison I had in my system. But I did and I'm sure happy I did. I have such a long life ahead of me, from that incident I've learned to watch out who I trust.
I'm starting college in the fall. I'm taking Criminal Justice. But for now I'm working at a small cafe saving up for college and other necessities I might need in the future.
Also, I haven't seen Aiden at all, he just packed up and left with no trace. The police said they granted him his own apartment so that he could prove that he was mature enough to live alone. They say that he's stopped all drug use and is going to college, I smiled at the thought of that. I'm happy for him even though I miss him like crazy every single day.My mom said that I shouldn't contact him, better for him to move on.
Now here I am, getting ready to go to work at a small cafe. I love it there, my manager is a sweetheart. The workers support me through all my decisions, everything is going fantastic.
I turned the knob, finally leaving for work.

"Hi, what can I get you?" I smiled at the little boy that walked in with his mother. The boy gave me a shy smile.
"I'd like a chocolate chip muffin." He said in a low voice. Hiding behind his mother. I smiled once more at him before looking at the mom.
"Can I get one coffee with one jelly filled donut?" She questioned putting the menu down. I nodded and left, going to the next table.
I handed the chef the order before taking my seat, lost in my own thoughts.
I wonder if he's got a girlfriend? Or a baby? What's if he's getting married?!
"Lexi?" Shannon raised her hand in front of my face, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked at her confused. Joe said to go take table number ten's order. Sighing I got up and went down go take table number ten's order.
"What can I get-" I looked up from my small notebook. I froze, it was him. The one that stole four years away from me.
"Can I get a small coffee?" He asked not recognizing me. I nodded shaking.
"Do I know you?" He asked. I shook my head, speechless. When suddenly I heard the cafe door open, looking to the right, I saw the person I thought I'd never see again.
Aiden.
