Chapter Eleven: How wise you have become

Merlin’s POV

Zana is a lovely woman and her daughter is just as smart as she is. As soon as I heard there story and that they need a place to stay I wanted them to stay but that decision is not up to me. I am guest here to it’s up to Arthur.

“Merlin what is your option on this?” Arthur asked me.

“I believe they should be able to stay, Arthur. I also believe that it can show to other people with magic how willing you are for magic to be used,” I said to him.

“I agree with every word you have said. I well-come you here to Camelot and you are allowed to stay for as long as you need. I will get a room sorted out at once for you and while you are here you are my honourable guests and if you need anything then please do ask,” smiled Arthur.

“We are so grateful to you sire,” said Zana as she bowed to the king and so did her daughter.

“You are my guests and there is no need to bow before me and you can call me, Arthur.”

“Thank you again, Arthur,” Zana smiled.

“It is my pleasure,” said Arthur.

Adair’s POV

I am back to my healthy self now and Zana and her daughter Sienna have been within Camelot two days now. Finally I’ve got back to training with my father. I am his apprentice but it hasn’t felt like that for ages and it’s just a good feeling being out here training with him this morning.

“You’re getting their son,” said my father.

“I’m useless,” I said to him. Even though I am happy getting back to practicing my magic I still can’t seem to get the hang of most spells my father is teaching me. I am so glad no one else is here to watch including, Emily. I couldn’t stand Emily watching me practice, especially when she seems to be better at spells then I am.

“You’re not useless you just need more practice that is all, son,” he smiled at me.

“i hope your right,” I said to him sadly.

“Go on try it one more time.”

I nodded to him before I said the spell again. This time something happened. This time I managed to force my father backwards. “There you go you did it,” he laughed.

“Yeah I did. I suppose it just takes practice,” I said to him.

“All it takes is practice and to use the power from within,” said my father.

“Most important thing is to have you as my teacher. I am happy to be your apprentice and no one else’s,” I smiled at him.

“Why is that?” he asked.

“You’re the most powerful warlock the world has and will ever know,” I grinned.

“Like so many people keep telling me, I remember when the great dragon told me about my destiny the first day I met him. It still seems like yesterday,” he laughed.

“I wish I could see how clumsy you where,” I burst out in laughter.

“You’re lucky your still training understand my apprentice. When we are done here you’re going to regret saying that.”

“Oh will I?”

Luke’s POV

“Luke use to have to sleep with mum and dad,” Matthew burst into laughter.

“No I did not, he is lying,” I said to Sienna. Sienna is Zana’s daughter and it may have only been two days since they had arrived but Matthew had found anything and everything to tell her about me. I love my brother but these moments make me want to strangle him.

“Don’t worry; I’ve learnt to ignore him. Would you like to go for a walk?” she asked me.

“I would love too,” I said.

“What about me?” asked Matthew.

“You can come if you want,” said Sienna who winked at me.

“I’ve got some training to do anyway. Where is Roy anyway?” Matthew asked.

“I believe he is with Emily,” I said.

“Oh right cool. I’m of,” said Matthew before he left the room. Sienna looked over at me before we both burst into laughter.

“Your brother is so funny. Do you really want to go for a walk?”

“I don’t mind,” I said.

“I want to get some fresh air so let’s go.”

“Ok,” I said to her as I grabbed my sword and put it into my holder. I still kept the sword close knowing I can’t let anyone take it away from me. It’s too important to let someone have it. This sword is mine and no one else’s.

Gwaine’s POV

I watched as Matthew came striding onto the training field. I had convinced Merlin to allow me and Matthew to use half it while they used the other part of it. Matthew needs training and I find it fun training him.

Matthew attacked me as soon as he arrived and it caught me off guard. It didn’t help that I had been thinking about Zana. I couldn’t help but find her a slight mystery and I like that. I must speak to her more often. Only problem is I spend my free time in the Tavin and she.....I’m not sure what she does.

“You’re meant to be training me. Not me training you,” said Matthew as he looked at me annoyed.

“I should have been ready. Let’s begin again,” I said as Matthew came at me again but this time I blocked his attack so easily he actually began to get faster and faster to the point where if I had been a second slower he would have cut me quite badly.

As Matthew and I trained I watched Merlin and Adair out the corner of my eye. I couldn’t help but notice how well Adair was coming along and Merlin had even said he has improved a lot since the training had begun within Camelot.

As Matthew and I continued I spotted something flying towards us. Matthew and I had to back away a little as the dragon landed near Merlin and Adair. Matthew and I ran over to see what he wanted.

“What is the matter?” asked Merlin.

“Nothing is the matter, Merlin. I just need a private word with you about, our home,” he said.

“I know, I am sorry it is taking longer here but I want to make sure no threat is to come to Camelot, Arthur and his family,” said Merlin as he looked at Matthew.

“I understand, Merlin. Your kind heart is something everyone has come to love and cherish but be warned Merlin. I am afraid that not everything is going to work out in your favour. Enjoy this why you can because the worst is yet to come,” he said before he flied into the sky and out of sight.

“That was very cheerful,” I said.

“He doesn’t normally warn me, well these days anyway. We must listen to his words,” said Merlin.

“How wise you have become,” I said to him.

“So I’ve been told,” he grinned.
