Fang walks back into the condo, looking a little happy. "Who called?" Nudge asks, mouth full of toast. "Don't talk with your mouth full. And someone you guys are gonna meet soon." Fang answers. Iggy, Nudge, and I all just look at him. "Who exactly?" Iggy asks. "Someone. That's all you need to know right now." We all groan then go back to eating. We are only eating for about 3 minutes when Fang's phone rings again. "What is it Abuelo?" Nudge leans forward as Fang silently listens to his grandpa. His eyes widen, and he looks at Nudge with worry. "I'll pick him up. Just take care of Abuela!" Then he hangs up. "Guys, we have to go pick up Ryan. Nudge, Abuela fell. Abuelo called the ambulance and he's gonna ride there with her. Come on guys we need to go. Now!" Fang says standing up. He's terrified. His face, voice, and eyes show it. We all nod and pull our shoes on and run out the door to Fang's Ford Focus. "Who exactly are we picking up?" I ask as Fang starts the car. "My, um, my twin brother." Fang says awkwardly as he pulls out onto the road. Everyone is silent. "YOUR WHAT?!?!" Iggy, Nudge, and I then yell. "My twin brother. His name is Ryan. When our mom and father died, we were adopted by different grandparents. My mom's Italian parents took him. Babe, can you get my phone and call Ryan? Please." I nod and take his phone from the cup holder, where he always puts his phone, and unlock his iPhone. His password is similar to mine so I don't even need to ask for it. I go to his contacts and type Ryan in the search bar, but no contact shows up. "Babe, what's his number?" "Siri, call Side-Kick" Fang sighs. He flicks himself in the head as he does this. He's calling himself stupid in his head. Probably for not telling me the nickname. "Calling Side-Kick" Siri says in a female British voice. It only rings twice then the phone is answered. It's not on speaker, so I hold the phone to my ear. "What is it Nicky? Did the plans change?" A guy who sounds very similar to Fang asks. I blink, look at Fang who stops us at a red light. He looks over at me and sees the phone to my ear. "Max!" Then he tries to take the phone. "Who's Nicky?" I ask over the line. Fang freezes and the other person says, "Um... who is this?" "Are you Ryan? Fang's twin brother?" Fang frantically shakes his head and then he mouths, "He doesn't know that nickname." I shrug and listen to Ryan as he says, "Um, who's Fang? I think you might have the wrong number." Fang then snatches the phone from me and holds it up to his left ear, so I can't take it. The light turns green. "I'm sorry Ryan, my girlfriend is the daughter of a detective. Listen, there's been a change of plans. My friends and I are picking you up then we are going to the hospital. Abuela fell." Fang remains silent for a little. Then he nods and says, "We should be there in about 30 minutes. Don't do anything stupid ok. Bye bro. I love you." I hear a mumbled, "OK. Love you too," from the phone. Everyone is quiet for a minute then Nudge breaks the silence, "So I have 30 minutes to think of questions to ask my brother. That's not enough time!" "As long as he doesn't hit on Nudge I'll be fine."  Iggy says protectively. He's always been a protective guy, but he's a lot more protective over Nudge. Personally, I think my friend is planning to marry that motor mouth. I wouldn't mind know bit. "Ok one, Nudge is his sister. He knows that. He knows about y'all, I just make sure he comes over when y'all aren't here. And two, you don't have to worry about Ryan hitting on any girl. He's gay. Now you Iggy, he might find your idiocy irresistible." Fang smirks at the last bit. Iggy shudders. "Oh boy," I sigh quietly. This will be great!
