Flynn and Amelie strolled down the streets of New York, hand in hand. Chiron had let the small group of campers that stayed past summer out into the city today. The daughter of Hecate and the son of Apollo decided to take a quiet stroll and watch the leaves fall in central park.

Flynn and Amelie's clasped hands swung between them softly. They walked through Central Park, looking at the magnificent foliage as they fell from the trees slowly. The couple sat on a bench in the middle of the park after walking around for a short time, Amelie's head rested on Flynn's shoulder.

A performer on the street left his guitar case opened as he played soft music for the people walking by. Flynn whispered something into the guitar player's ear and he nodded. The player started to sing the song Somewhere Only we Know. Flynn walked back to the bench and with a dramatic flourish of his hand asked Amelie to dance with him.

Amelie giggled and nodded, standing up and taking his hand in hers. The daughter of Hecate and son of Apollo swayed to the song, wide grins over taking their features, as the song brought them into their own world. It was over soon, Flynn dropped bills into the man's case with a thank you, and the two walked off towards the crowded street.

"Amelie look, it's Reese!" Flynn, ever the jokester, pointed through the window of a store at a statue of a little boy with dogs licking his face.

Amelie laughed, "I'm so getting him that for Christmas." They walked into a store, a bell jingling over their heads when the door opened, and looked around at the glass figurines.

Amelie walked over to the cash register, the statue in hand, and Flynn looked around. There was two songbirds, singing together on a branch, a statue of a little girl crying, which he thought was odd (it was even odder when he looked at the name of the statue name which was TB), and even a dagger glass statue, the store had statues of everything, including some people.

"Ready to go?" Amelie asked, she had a paper bag in her hand. Flynn nodded and they walked out of the store.

They walked down the streets, hand in hand pointing things out and going into different stores. They visited the Empire State Building (Olympus was closed for repairs so they couldn't go all the way up) and ran into some kids from camp doing the same thing that they were. After the Empire State Building they shopped even more and bought anything from matching hats to an entire book series and even cat shoes for Adhara. When they finally needed a break from shopping the coffee shop across the street seemed like the place.

"Can you get me a hot chocolate?" Flynn asked, handing Amelie some cash and went to look for a seats. He picked a booth right next to a window and watched the people pass, it was dark out and the streetlights illuminated the outside world.

Amelie sat down pushing a hot chocolate towards Flynn and digging into the small beignet in front of her.

"I alway miss normal things like this; walking around without fear, going outside the borders of camp, not worrying about monsters, it's nice," she sighed. "But it's definitely not reality."

"I like being a demigod," Flynn said. "I get to help people everyday and I wouldn't have met you if we weren't demigods," he pointed out.

"I guess the good outweighs the bad," Amelie said after thinking for a while. "We might now be like those people," she pointed out the window, "but we do have some pretty great stories to tell."

The two chattered quietly in the dimly lit cafe before getting up and starting the walk back to camp. It got considerably cooler in the time that they were in the coffee shop and Amelie shivered in the cold.

"Here," Flynn said, draping his sweater over her, him and Reese were always considerably warmer than most people.

"Thank you." They clasped hands once more and walked to camp, recalling tales from before camp.
