"It's gonna be fine, Lauren," Dinah said soothingly, dropping an armful of wood on the floor by the dirty fireplace. "We're gonna, uh....start a fire, and spread out the picnic blanket in front of it. Then we'll be good for the night, I promise."
Lauren looked around at the little one roomed cabin, scrunching up her face slightly at the rusty window frames, the cot lying in the corner and the dark streaks that she hoped were mud on the wood floor. She squeezed her eyes shut as images from every horror movie she'd ever seen flooded into her mind, feeling her heart rate increase.
"We're in an abandoned lodge in the middle of nowhere," Lauren burst out, wrapping her arms tightly around her body. "Sure, you're totally right, nothing bad could ever happen here."
"Well it's better than being under a tree in the middle of nowhere!" Dinah protested, crossing her arms.
"No, it would be better to not be in the woods at all! This was a fucking terrible idea, Dinah, we should never have come out here!"
There was silence for a moment, aside from the rain growing steadily louder on the roof, and Lauren could almost hear her own voice echoing around the the room. She winced slightly. Too loud.
Tentatively, she glanced up to see Dinah's small pout, the furrow in her brow, her soft eyes confused and hurt.
"Why are you yelling at me?" Dinah asked quietly, sounding defeated.
"It's not...no, it's not you, Dinah," Lauren said, shaking her head. "I just..."
"You said you wanted to explore, Lo," Dinah continued, her eyes searching Lauren's face. "You were talking about wanderlust, baby, so I brought you here, I didn't know it would storm. I'm - I'm sorry."
"Fuck," Lauren whispered.
"I'm trying to fix it," Dinah insisted. "I'll build a fire, I'll keep you warm -"
"Baby, stop," Lauren interrupted, shaking her head and walking over to Dinah, reaching up to cup her cheek gently. "I shouldn't have yelled at you, it's not your fault."
Dinah rested her hand over Lauren's, warm skin against her shaky fingers. The frown returned to Dinah's face, and she turned her head, pressing her lips gently first to Lauren's palm, and then to the inside of her wrist, a gentle kiss against her pulse point.
"Oh," Dinah said softly after a moment, holding Lauren's hand in hers, eyes widening slightly. "You're all shaky, baby. You're scared, aren't you?"
"'M just a little cold," Lauren deflected, looking away and flinching as lightning flashed outside. When she looked back at Dinah, her eyes had gone warm again, crinkling at the corners as she looked at Lauren. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Don't be scared, Lo." Dinah's arms wrapped around her, pulling her to her chest. "Or cold. I said I'd keep you warm. It's the best I can do, since I can't take you home."
Sighing, Lauren leaned into her, arms wrapping almost instinctively around her waist. She buried her face in Dinah's neck, and Dinah's hand ran up and down her back gently.
"It's okay, baby," Dinah murmured. "Nobody's coming to get you. They're all too scared of you to even try."
Despite her pounding heart, Lauren found herself laughing into Dinah's skin, and she heard Dinah's laugh too, the sound making her feel warm all over.
"I'm sorry for yelling," she said quietly against Dinah's collarbone. "I didn't mean it."
"Okay," said Dinah easily.
"You sure?"
"Mmhm," Dinah hummed, stroking gently through her hair.
"Okay."

A/N:
As the description says, this is a drabble collection, started because I got a much more enthusiastic response than expected to my request for prompts + ships to write 5h drabbles.
This is where I usually credit my proofreader and cover-maker, but that doesn't apply here, because these aren't proofread and I made the cover myself (I love that picture, honestly).
