I took in the scene of the empty gold night club I used to call home as I awaited a response from J. Growling slightly, he pulled me into him, his orbs igniting every inch of my skin,

"I told you, I'do anything for you. baby."

His voice caused a rush of heat to emerge from behind my face, and my aching bones screamed for relief as I so desperately felt the urge to kiss him.

But that voice, the voice I've come to reason with, the voice I've come to respect, crept into my conscious,

'You've come so far. You were making it on your own.'

Her voice was persistent,

'You don't have to live for him. You can live for yourself.'

'Don't give in. Don't give in.'

She was relentless, assaulting my mind with logic and words of strength. I looked into his eyes, eyes that I have learned to hate, to love, to crave, and to embrace. He built me, he broke me, and he left me to rot on this earth without him.

He knew I would've died for him. And he pushed me out of his arms and into a world that had become so foreign and dull without him.

Anger. Rage. It was bubbling and spilling over my sides, buckets of scarlet and purple and shimmering tears all swirling together.

I pressed my hands against his chest, creating distance between us but also gasping at the feeling of his touch. The electric shocks reverberated through me. Too much.

The feelings were too much.

My lip quivered as I refused to meet his gaze,

"You left me."

His hands dropped to his sides,

"I saved you."

I backed away from him, eyes still glued to the floor,

"I thought you were dead. You died."

"Where's my thank you? Where's my praise? I came back for you, baby."

My hands shakily crossed over my chest as I put my tongue in between my cheek,

"I...I've had a lot of time to think, Mr. J. I had a lot of time to become someone without you."

His voice was eerily calm,

"And?"

I swallowed, my eyes connecting to the bridge of his nose to try to ease my nerves,

"I...I'll never be anyone when I'm with you. You destroy me. In every way."

His laugh was small and quiet, and it caused shivers to move down my spine. Circling me, he stood behind my body, his arms snaking up and down my sides,

"No, no, no, Harley. This won't do."

His hands began to grope my chest and I spun around, my vision blurred and my thoughts in shambles,

"Stop."

The word came out a lot stronger than I felt. His breathing was erratic now, deep and jagged. Grabbing my neck in his hand, he let out a growl as he pinned me against the golden wall and I struggled to breathe,

"You do NOT tell me what to do. Ever."

His breath was hot against my ear,

"You do as I say, when I say."

His other hand pinned my wrists above my head as he licked and bit at my neck,

"And I'm telling you to give in to me."
