The Thirteen

All twelve,

No, all thirteen!

Flying above Gallifrey,

To save the day.

It's burning

Or freezing,

A time lock,

Safely hidden from the ticking clock.

Calling out to

The future past and present.

Changing time,

And personal time lines.

Thirteen all together,

Saving the day,

From a common foe;

The Daleks.

A hundred million times

To get it right,

Bad Wolf girl,

Hidden, waiting to unfurl.

Only a matter of time,

Until Gallifrey rose.

It began

When he ran.

Far from his home,

Seeking a new road,

But all ways heading the same,

A journey through pain.

To call all thirteen,

And in ancient song,

Announce the truth:

They are going home.

Breaking every rule of time

To save his people,

Of Gallifrey.

All thirteen have come, to rewrite history.
