Chapter Eight - A very merry Christmas

THREE MONTHS LATER

It was now December and it was Christmas tomorrow! I was so nervous, I still needed to buy River a present, I had no idea what to buy him, I already had everybody else's presents. I decided to take Jase to the mall with me, since he knows River better than I do and leave Zander with River. Zander is so big now, he is walking and talking, he is adorable. Since werewolf babies age faster then regular children, Zander looked about one and a half. We had been training once a day and Melody and I have both really improved, and are the best fighters in the pack. We are actually getting ready for  the warrior ceremony and we are officially head pack warriors. 

"JASON! COME HERE," I shouted, I knew he hated being called 'Jason', so I knew he would race down here and yell at me. I heard him before I saw him, he came in, face flushed and fists clenched,

"What did you call me?" He said through clenched teeth. I giggled and stuck my tongue out at him, he smirked and started making his way toward me.

"Jase, what are you doing? Don't do something you're gonna regret," 

"Oh, I'm not going to regret this," he tackled me to the ground and started tickling me, I had tears streaming down my face, I was laughing so hard.

"Pl-please Jase. I-I'm so-sorry," I managed to say between breaths, he continued tickling me for another minute or so, and eventually stopped and sighed.

"I told I wouldn't regret it, anyway, what do you want?" He asked, with a cheeky grin. I sighed and responded,

"Well, I wanted to know if you could go to the mall with me, to get River a present.." I said, blushing slightly. 

"Sure, I would love to help you get your boyfriend a present,"

"Wh-what!? He isn't my boyfriend!" I yelled, causing him to crack up laughing.

"I know, but it's brings me joy to see you look like that," he exclaimed, giving me a hug. I stuck my tongue out at him and ran upstairs to get Zander from his bedroom and my wallet.

"Hey sweetie, do you want to spend time with your dad?"

"Yes!!!" 

"Okay, lets get you changed," I picked him up and brought him over to chest of drawers, in the far right corner. I chose out a blue top and black shorts and put some runners on him. I filled up a diaper bag of things I might need, like diapers, change of clothes and pacifiers and went back downstairs to Jase. I found Jase, sitting on the couch watching Sponge bob, of course.

"Jase, are you five years old? Why are you watching Sponge bob," I asked, he must have not known I was there, because he jumped at the sound of my voice. He chuckled and stuck his tongue out at me.

"Come on, don't just sit there. We have to go! I have about six hours to get a present and it has to be perfect. And we also need to drop Zander off to River."

"Alright, alright. Lets get going. Wouldn't want to waste another precious second," he replied sarcastically, I flipped him off and carried Zander to the car. I buckled him in and let Jase drive. We drove to Joe's house, where River was. I entered the house and yelled out, 

"River Michael Knight!  Get down here right now!" I yelled, I heard someone run through the house. 

"What is it?! What's happening," I heard River, said. He was now in front of me, a confused look on his face. I sighed and placed Zander in his hands and started walking back to the car. I heard River yell,
