Looking back wrestling had not been such a great idea, since Jamil and I somehow managed to break down the tent. When all of us finally got out of the mess, it was already dark and I had no idea how to fix the tent.

Jamil luckily did, but he was a bit pissed at me, so I decided to collect some wood to make a bonfire.

"Loui, come with me", I called him and he quickly followed me.

"What are you doing?", he wanted to know.

"We bought marshmallows, so we're making a bonfire."

We went deeper and deeper into the forest, until Loui stopped: "Are you sure we'll find the way back if we go that far?"

"Don't worry, I know where I'm going", I told him, but he did not seem very sure, so I picked up some dry wood: "Alright, we'll just stop here."

Loui started collecting wood, too, when he suddenly froze and whispered: "Did you hear that?"

"What?", I turned to him and then heard it, too. There were some strange noises coming from somewhere deeper into the forest.

"Let's check what it is", I said and started walking towards the noises.

"Are you crazy?!", Loui stared at me in disbelief and I just shrugged: "What?"

He crossed his arms: "That's what they always do in horror movies. And then they get killed by some crazy witch!"

I laughed, he really was cute when he was scared.

"Shut up", he pouted. "Be quiet, get the wood and then let's go back to Jamil."

"Wait", I stopped him. "Maybe the crazy witch wants some marshmallows, too. We should ask her!"

I pretended to go further into the forest, but Loui grabbed my hand and pulled me with him. I could not stop laughing until we arrived at the tent, where Jamil had already set up everything to make the bonfire.

When the three of us sat around the fire Jamil and Loui had obviously forgiven me, so Jamil told us some scary stories about the cursed forest and murderous ghosts living around here. I found it impressing how he made up all of that so fast and it was funny to watch Loui trying to hide how scared he was.

When Jamil was about to start a story about witches kidnapping campers, Loui interrupted him: "Let's talk about something else, please."

Even though I loved his face when he was scared, I kind of felt sorry for him, so I changed the topic: "So, Jamil, how did your date with Miyu go?"

Jamil grinned right away: "It was great."

"Some more details, please?", I laughed and Jamil blushed: "Nothing happened."

Loui looked up: "Huh, I heard you kissed!"

"Damn it", Jamil cursed and I gasped: "Hey, why didn't you tell me?!"

Jamil hesitated and then admitted: "I don't even know if she likes me that way, so I don't want you to make any stupid comments that could ruin everything ..."

"I would never do that!", I pouted, offended by his doubts about me.

But Loui and Jamil just looked at me without saying anything, until I finally admitted: "Okay, okay. Maybe sometimes..."

Suddenly I felt a few raindrops land on my nose and when I looked up we suddenly sat in the pouring rain and the fire went out.

"Great", I muttered and we quickly took our stuff into the tent. We took off our wet jeans, I slipped under my blanket and Loui and Jamil got into their sleeping bags. I always took my blanket with me when I went camping, because during sleep I moved too much, so I hated sleeping bags. I felt like a baby, not being able to move. Like a prison. A soft and warm prison to sleep in, but still not very nice.

I know that I'm weird. Don't judge me.

"Wait", Jamil said suddenly and I heard him rummaging around.

"We forgot about the marshmallows!", he said and threw the bag at me.

"We'll just eat them like that", I shrugged. Food is food and I would not waste one tiny bit of it.

We just sat there in the dark, talking and eating raw marshmallows.

Jamil was the first one to give up, because he was too full, but oviously Loui could not get enough of them, so he kept the whole bag.

"Give me another one", I told him and he reached out to find my face. He kept his one hand on my cheek and then put a marshmallow in my mouth with the other one.

"Thanks", I mumbled and was fully aware of how his finger lingered on my lips for a bit longer than necessary.

"Okay, one more won't kill me", Jamil interrupted that moment, climbing over me and grabbing the bag.

We continued to talk about stupid things and then eventually went to sleep.

Jamil had already started snoring, but Loui kept turning around again and again and I heard him shivering.

"Are you cold?", I whispered and he stopped moving around: "A little. This sleeping bag is a bit too thin for this time of the year ..."

"Come closer, then", I said, raising my blanket to let him slip under it. He hesitated for a second, but then moved towards me.

He let out a relieved sigh when I put the blanket around him and I chuckled quietly. We did not say anything after that, but he cuddled closer to me, eventually resting his head on my arm and his hand on my chest.

And I did not mind at all.
