Halloween was probably every student's favourite time of the year.

The professors gave less homework or ended classes earlier, the whole campus was decorated and some spent weeks planning a huge party in the forest.

On the beach they put up bars for the drinks and big music boxes and in the forest they set up creepy masks and monsters that would jump at you. There were even some students in costumes who would try to scare you and this year they also had fog machines which made everything even scarier.

I went to that party with Miyu, Jamil and Jyll. At first we just had a few drinks and joined the beach party, but soon Miyu wanted to go into the forest. She loved all that horror stuff, even though every time we saw a horror movie she cried like a baby and could not even look at the screen.

"Okay, guys", she excitedly clapped her hands. "Let's go into the forest now!"

Jyll laughed: "No, thanks. I saw the things they brought in there, I won't step one foot into that forest."

Miyu pouted and looked at me pleadingly: "But you're coming with us, Loui. Right?"

I frowned, but then agreed, I did not really have anything better to do. Also, Amara was walking towards Jyll and I still could not stand her. I always had to think about her and Micah and I found that slightly disgusting, so I quickly followed Miyu andJamil into the forest.

As soon as we had gone far enough that the beach could not be seen anymore, Miyu grabbed both Jamil's and my hand.

I chuckled: "Guys, this looks weird ..."

Miyu just shrugged: "You're gay, Jamil can't be jealous."

"Still looks weird, though", Jamil laughed and Miyu sighed: "Pussies. Okay, Loui at least walk behind me and make sure nobody scares me, alright?"

Jamil and I laughed at her, but she gave me a warning look so I obeyed and walked behind them.

After a few minutes a ghost tied to a rope suddenly flew towards us and Miyu let out a high pitched scream that made me jump. Jamil just giggled and pulled her further.

It was actually really creepy here, with all those noises and the fog and the monster faces all around them, which seemed to move sometimes.

Suddenly I heard a laugh and I immediately recognized it. It was Micah's.

It was followed by a girlish giggle and when I looked around I spotted him and some girl between the trees.

She was holding onto him very tightly, pretending she was too scared to let go of him and Micah was obviously enjoying every second of it.

And – of course – he bent down to kiss her. She practically threw herself on him, which made me cringe. Eww.

He now pressed her against a tree and I could see his hands wandering all over her body. I grunted and before I knew it, I grabbed one of the monster masks from a tree and walked towards the couple.

"Where are you going?", Miyu hissed, but I ignored her, making my way to Micah and the girl without them noticing anything. They were to busy eating each other's faces, until I suddenly roared like a monster.

The girl immediately jumped and screamed loudly and when I ran towards her, she started running away.

Micah looked a bit scared, too, but then he recognized me: "Is that you, Loui?"

I took off the mask and shrugged: "Wanted to try it."

Micah looked at me for a moment and it seemed as if he wanted to say something, but then he just turned around to run after the girl: "Hey, wait!"
