Ward:
Skye and I decide to walk around to hotel, it's a beautiful place but I know we both just want to be back home. We walk around not really talking about anything, it kills me because I know something is eating at her.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
I can't take knowing she's in pain and I just want to help her.
"Truth?" She asks.
"Please." I tell her and smile.
I hated that she had to go though this, she had to be the one who went undercover, I couldn't do this for her, all I could do was be by her side well she went though it.
"I'm scared as hell." She admits.
"Me too." I tell her. "I'm scared for your safety."
I wasn't scared about me at all, all I wanted was to her her home safely and to not get hurt at all.
"You should worry about yourself, I'll be fine." She tells me and smiles.
"You are right and wrong." I tell her. "I'm not going to worry about myself but you will be fine."
"You are so stubborn sometimes." She says and smiles.
"Only when it comes to you." I tell her.
We walk back to our room and the last thing I said still lingers between us.
"You can't protect me this time." Skye says when we close the door to our room.
"Why?" I ask her.
"Because Ward." She whispers. "This time there will be way too many people watching."
We stand a couple inches away from each other, she looks up at me and I can see all the hurt and pain in her eyes.
"I can't just not protect you." I say and put my hand on her cheek. "I won't."
"But you'll get yourself killed." She whispers.
"Then I'm dying for you." I whisper back to her. "I would rather die protecting you then live because I didn't."
Tears rose in her eyes when I finished, her face was covered in hurt.
"I don't want you to die." She whispers. "I don't want to bring you into this with me but I can't do it alone."
I wrap my arms around her and pull her into a hug, I hear her cry and her arms wrap around to tightly.
"You don't have to." I whisper and kiss to top of her head. "You don't have to do anything alone"
"I'm really glad you're here with me." She whispered.
"I'm glad I am too." I whisper back to her and hold onto her tighter, I wasn't going to let anything happen to her.....
