ch 8 The manekyou mission pt1

Sasuke looked at the sage with wide eyes.The thirteen year old Uchiha was shocked beyond words. He ignored the tugging of Naruto on his arm and settled deep into thought. Which was never a good place for Uchiha's to go.  The crazy sage couldn't be serious right now. The Mangekyou sharingan? Sasuke couldn't believe his ears. Honestly, Sasuke, felt a bit sick at the news. 'If I unlocked the Mangekyou sharingan that would mean...' Sasuke trailed not even able to finish the thought. 

His wide eyed look went from shock to panic in an instant. "That can't be right!" Sasuke protested his pent up rage mixing with the dread in the pit of his stomach. 

Naruto sighed in relief that his teme was speaking again. He never liked when Sasuke sulked like that. Although he wasn't sure if yelling Sasuke was much better. 

"but to unlock it.... wouldn't......wouldn't Naruto....."Sasuke trailed off his voice so uncertain. 

Itachi looked at his younger brother with unhidden worry. He had never wanted his baby brother to go through the horrors of receving the mangekyou. Now as Itachi stared at him his worry doubled. In that single moment Sasuke looked so completely lost. It was heartbreaking.

The sage thought about Sasuke's protest for a second as he stroked his beard. The sages eyebrows scrunched together in thought as he mused. How could he convince the young incarntion that what he conceives as an impossibility is actually an improbability? the sage wondered to himself. Then he got a idea and smiled. 

"would you like to see?" The sage asked gently careful not to set the latest incarnation off. 

"see what exactly?" Sasuke asked his tone becoming skeptical and his eyes narrowing at the sage once again. 

"I'll show you the entirety of the mission in which you gain your mangekyou. But be warned this request to watch this mission should not be taken lightly. You must know now that most if not all of your greatest fears lurk within it. Along with some carefully guarded secrets of yours." The sage explained his tone waivering from grave to gentle.

"which ones do you think they are?" Naruto whispered in Sasuke's ear. 

"I don't know... It could be anything.....should......"Sasuke paused licking his lips."should we risk it?" Sasuke whispered back. 

"well, we don't have much else to lose do we? I mean we're technically already banned from ever seeing each other again" Naruto said smirking cheekily. 

Sasuke's lips quirked upward and nodded. "It could be the other thing too. We should talk with my brother and shisui first. It shouldn't just be our call." After whispering to Naruto, Sasuke got up pulling Naruto along with him. Then he grabbed Itachi's wrist as Naruto grabbed Shisui and the four males left to go into a room. The two elders stumbling along in confusion. 

"i guess we're taking a break then" Kakashi announced as the door to the room the four boys went into slammed shut then had the audacity to have protection seals on it. 

Fugaku's eyes narrowed at the door. just what were they whispering about and what secret could they possibly feel the need to hide so thoroughly? Although Fugaku was quite skeptical of the whole entire ordeal, he decided to drop the issue for now and keep it in the back of his mind for later. It already seemed he had more problems with his two sons than he previously realized. 

Meanwhile behind the closed door things were falling into place. 

"i'm not a fucking idiot for starters and secondly i'm better at eaves dropping than you two think" Sasuke stated as the door slammed shut with a bang. 

"And shit hits the fan" Shisui sighed.

"so you know about the_" Itachi started but Sasuke quickly cut him off. 

"yes Itachi I know about the fucking coup. I heard you and shisui talking one day around a few years ago. Then while everyone was out of the house i broke into dads office and found alot of messed up shit, so i already know the gist." Sasuke said with a wave of his hand. 

"soo thats our side of the story. We just wanted to make sure you two are okay with us saying yes to crazy gramps's offer because the secret could be about you two or something." Naruto explained as Sasuke was trying to get Itachi to snap out of shock. It was poving to be harder than he first thought. 

"why did you never say anything?" Itachi questioned Sasuke after he snapped out his stupor. 

"I couldn't be sure what side you were on. Besides you never asked." Sasuke smirked in reply and just like that everything in Itachi's head clicked.

kk guys thats it for now! i'm really sorry it was so short but i promise you i'll update again by this sunday and possibly monday. who knows i might even do my double update thing. while your waiting for the next update please read my other stories i'm sure you'll love them! oh and if you like Boruto read Boruto:light of the uchiha because it's awesome, oh and read light of the leaf.
