Ch 10: Sasuke's secrets pt2

Sasuke ran down the stairs fully clothed. He wore his usual blue shirt and white shorts combo. His weights easily disguised as a simple fashion statement with his footwear. Bandages wrapped around them. Thank you Sakura. Sasuke bolted in the Kitchen grabbing an apple from the counter. He tied on his headband with his free hand seemingly in a rush.

Itachi peered down at his little brothers legs and sure enough he wore the same thing as on the screen.

"What? I'm not going to run around wearing leg warmers Itachi. I'm not that gay" Sasuke said muttering his last line to his brother. Itachi cracked a slight smile. Sasuke was being a little smart ass now. It amused the elder Uchiha greatly and was glad that Sasuke had welcomed him into his personal little joke.

"How do you have weights on then? You can't even see any" Shisui questioned in confusion. Lee wore weights and he had to cover them up with huge leg warmers. So how was Sasuke able to sneak by looking like he wasn't wearing any? Was it some type of low level genjutsu? Possibly but that seemed more like something Itachi would do instead of Sasuke.

"Well I needed a way to not look like an idiot and get faster, Sakura needed a way to channel her fangirl freak out and Naruto needed to practice his seals" Sasuke explained as he began to unwrap the white strips of cloth clinging to his leg.

"So their seals?" Kushina questioned speaking up intrigued and a bit proud. She hadn't known Naruto had been starting to work on his seals yet. He was so her son.

"Sakura sewed a bunch of seals into the fabric. So they don't look stupid and jut out or anything like Lee's." Sasuke said.

"I object!" Lee yelled.

"Lee shut up! You and Gai sensei look like a bunch of carrots in an upturned bowl!" Tenten snapped. Neji nodded in agreement.

"That's....those are a lot of seals Sasuke" Shisui said eyes wide as he saw the multitude of seals on Sasuke's clothing. Kami guess the kid really was improving his speed. Shushing would even wager that the kid was training a little to hard.

" not really.... I mean There are just a couple for weight, some for pressure so they hold me back every time I move, some antigravity so I don't sink into the ground...that actually happened one time, that wasn't that fun. Oh and this seal here" Sasuke rambled on pointing to a specific seal "acts like some type of chakra gate to make sure I don't rip a tendon or strain something....and a few others" Sasuke finished proudly. Naruto was actually quite good with his seals. Almost as good as he himself was with shuriken.

"And you were wearing those all the time?" Kiba asked paling slightly as he remembered a particular sparring match with team's 8 and 7. Sasuke had been barely moving in that match so kiba had been able to take him down. He had boasted about it for days. However knowing this made him feel like somewhat of a fraud.

"Since the chuunin exams" Sasuke said wrapping his leg back up. He didn't want lee to see what seals he used and try to copy him. Kakashi had made somewhat of a rival challenge out of this and he didn't want any setbacks or slip ups on his part.

"So when I beat you that time..." Kiba questioned trailing off.

"I was wearing these" Sasuke confirmed.

"Don't feel down kiba. Why? Because Naruto beat you in the exams and he is on the same team as Sasuke. It is only natural that you should lose" Shino told him.
