Kakashi's heart was filled with pain and despair, his deepened depression was far worse than what he felt when his comrade, Obito, died for him. The once bright and happy Konoha in Kakashi's eyes was now bleak and empty. The lively town and markets were ignored in his state of sadness. He removed all his contact with anyone and would spend his days avoiding friends and former classmates. During his sleepless nights her voice and pained face, as she was struck by his chidori, haunted him. Kakashi took long and slow strides through town with his head hung low, his mind clouded with doubt as he headed towards the town cemetery. The buzzing townsfolk rushing past him in a blur and the slight tweets of the local birds indicated that it was the morning. Kakashi lifted his head slightly after hearing someone calling for him,
"Kakashi! Hey Kakashi!" After looking up Kakashi sighed deeply seeing that it was Guy, faintly rolling his eyes he lowered his head again and continued walking. He could feel his sad gaze lingering on him as he distanced himself from his friend. It broke his heart a little having to cut all his connections from his comrades, but he thought he had no other way; he didn't want to hurt them too. With his sandals scraping across the dry dirt, the road began to become less busy and crowded as he neared the lonely cemetery. A few Asagao flowers were growing nearby, the vibrant pinks and blues of the small flower were surrounded by thick bush, the colours caught Kakashi's eye and he picked a few for his friend. It was a mild clear day in late November. The weather had changed constantly, the cold wind brought a granite sky and hard rain with it yesterday. It was now only a little after 11 o'clock in the morning and the pallor of grey skies seemed to have closed up into a clear blue sky with the trees cloaked in red and orange leaves. Finally reaching the large cemetery with the wild sweet smelling flowers in his hand, he took the familiar route towards Rin's tombstone. He knelt down in the moist grass as he remembered how she whispered his name before she died, with a stern almost solemn expression he placed the flowers into the vase nearby. His heart was clenched with sorrow, his soul was almost empty inside, wanting an escape from his damaged mind. He could feel the uncomfortable humidity here, the negative energy of his past suffocating him, he took a deep miserable gasp for air to release himself from this pressure. He looked up at the clear sky, the tears that were coming close to the surface of his face stung his eyes. He wiped his eye with his sleeve as he felt that someone's presence was near him.
He saw her the second he looked across the cemetery. Young and unbelievably beautiful, her head hung low with her hands gripping the tombstone on either side. She was wearing a usual everyday kimono with her ebony black hair streaming along her elegant back, which contrasted against her aqua blue kimono with highly detailed gold embroidery. And he stared. Kakashi never stared. From the age of 9 he never had to chase girls, his looks and persona was something he always took for granted. The girls always stared, they always giggled and pointed at him, they flung themselves at him waiting for him to notice them. Guy and Obito had always had a competitive hatred about the ease in which he could snap his fingers and have any girl he wanted, but in fact getting girls was not what Kakashi's life drived on. Girls had always been secondary issues, his ninja duties was always put first and thats what truly drived Kakashi to live. Everything seemed to have changed the moment she looked up sensing his focused stare, their eyes met, her deep and soulful blue eyes were like the colour of the ocean on a clear spring day. They were a cold piercing vibrant blue but also had a warmth to them, it was like she had two sides that she could express through her irises. Her uninterested and tired expression with her sad gaze staring into Kakashi's dark eye had struck a chord in his heart, it was almost as if he was looking into a mirror at himself. He saw that she had darkness clinging to her heart like his. After looking into his eye for a few more seconds she averted her gaze back down to the tombstone, her long awaited tears dropping and staining the grey stone. His frenzied pulses coming from his heart pounded so hard at his chest. The adrenalin rush sent an electric impulse swirling down his spine giving him the will to move again. He got up and started to walk towards the mystery girl who had caught his gaze and had made him numb. His heart thumped in his chest harder as he got closer, but she noticed he was coming and she was in no state to have another man try win her heart again, she was already broken enough. In a swift movement she stood up and avoided the man who was coming her direction and left with no sign of her being there but the wet patches on the tomb she was at. Kakashi felt foolish for trying to meet a girl at a cemetery, he scratched his head as he let out a deep sigh. He looked down at the stone and saw an unfamiliar name of a male. At that moment a ninja from the anbu in his mask puffed out in front of him, smoke flying away from him.
