It's funny how autumn is beautiful, yet everything is dying.

Chapter 12

~Red~

A sardonic smile made its way towards my face. He...... was all along Ted Elias. My pooh bear. Every part of me just froze. Should I be happy, or filled with rage? Disappointment? I just stared at him with my eyes wide.

He stared at me with a forlorn smile. His smile so sad, yet his eyes so deadly boring into mine.

"I've waited for you."

"I thought you left me." My voice cracked. My eyes threatened to spill all the tears I held, yet I maintained my composure.

"You couldn't even recognise me."

Crack. His words tore my heart into small pieces. I sucked in a deep breath, my lips in a thin line. I masked my emotions and replaced it with my deadly gaze, my fists clenching. Deep down my heart, I panicked. Was he going to leave me again?

My fist automatically swung to his face. How dare he? After all these years, he said that. "I've waited you every single  day for three years, you idiot."

He caught my fist easily as his lips twitched up a little. It made me grew angrier though. I didn't fail to notice his eyes scanning across the hallway thoroughly, fully alarmed. As his eyes fixed on a particular spot, I dare not move an inch. I stood there, trying to remember where his eyes landed on.

As his grip loosened, I yanked my arm away. He seemed to snap out of his daze and he pushed me to the locker gently, yet his other hand landed on the locker with a bigger impact.

What the hell?

His face came closer to mine as I stopped breathing. It was too close, I felt my cheeks blushed crimson red. It was funny how one second I'm on the verge of tears and another second I'm blushing madly. I shut my eyes tighty as I chanted in my head, "Oh my god. Go away please. Go away."

But I felt relieved and somewhat disappointed when he moved towards my ear. Get a grip, Red!

He whispered into my ears huskily, "Pretend to be mad at me and run away now. Wait for me outside. I'll be there in a few minutes."

Hoo. He blew my ear with his hot breath as I jerked up due to the sensitivity. He moved away as he wiggled his eyebrows. I glared at him as my chest thumped harder. Damn him.

I immediately run towards the door as I quickly landed my eyes to the place where Ted looked at. Huh? It only added up to my confusion.

A surveillance camera.

"I'm actually glad that you did not went berserk, excluding the part where you attempted to punch me." He joked as I kept quiet. I was bottling up all my confusion, anger and frustration in a bottle. I couldn't stand still, I was pacing around as I frantically clutched my shirt tightly.

He sensed my frustration in a split second and sighed. When our eyes meet each other, his gaze softened, held with pure concern. We were at his so called secret apartment, where he trained his skills. He called it his hideaway.
