As if wilted flowers, his petals wilt and dropped to the ground.... Leaving him bare.

Chapter 14
~Red~
When I was seven, I baked my first batch of cookies. With Ted. Our families were indeed close. I would always go to his house and play with Ted as our moms would happily watch us.
"Ted! Come here. My cookies are done. It smells so good." I squealed with excitement.
"Your cookies? You mean ours?" He puffed his cheeks as he sulked.
"Awww. Don't be sad. Here!" I stuffed a chocolate chip cookie inside his mouth as his eyes grew wide. He grumbled under his breath incoherently but a faint blush was visible.
"Let's make this our friendship cookie." I giggled happily as my heart soared. Everything felt right as long as I was with my best friend, Ted.
"Huh?" He slightly tilted his head.
"After the cookies are inside our tummy, it means our contract of friendship is formed, alright?" He nodded his head with an uh-huh but his eyes glimmered with anticipation.
"Rule number 3. Hmmm..... Red and Ted shall never fight." I grinned ear to ear. He looked at me in wonder as he sighed.
"We shall never."
"Rule number two. Hmmm.... Ahha! Red can always steal Ted's food and Ted will be fine with it. Tee-hee." My eyebrows wiggled as I gave him my puppy eyes. He shook his head rapidly as his eyes widened in horror.
"Nope. Nope. Nope."
"Pweaseeeeeee? Pweettyy pweaseee?" I moved closer to him, batting my eyelashes even though deep down I cringed to the maximum. Eww. Since when was I so feminine? But oh well, everything for the food.
His cheeks grew a darker shade of pink as his eyes casted down and croaked an "alright." Satisfied with his answer, I squealed in delight and kissed his cheek, before taking all his cookies away.
"Alright. Rule number one. Hmm...." I tapped my chin while deep in thought. I sighed as I couldn't think of one.
"Why not you decide rule number one?" I said, grinning.
"Alright." His ears were already red. He covered his face with his hands as,
"Why not rule number one, Ted shall always be at Red's side and never leave Red."
"Deal!" We both chomped down our cookies.
"Care to explain the answers on the board, Red?"
"COOKIES! Uhh.... Ya.... Cookies haha..." I instantly blushed. Did I..... just screamed that? This is the end of my life. I want to be an ostrich now. Dig a hole, and bury my head in it.
The class was silent. They stared at me, not knowing whether to laugh or avert their gazes. The teacher just shook his head, looked at me and sighed. He scribbled something as I gazed curiously. Then he handed me a paper. More like a detention slip.
"I suggest you get the pass and go to the washroom. You know... To wash off your drool." That was the moment when the whole class bursted into fits of laughter.
I wiped off the drool in an instant with my hand as the class threw disgusted glances at me. That was the moment when I actually realised how unhygienic I was and grumbled under my breath. Muttering an excuse me, I dragged myself to the washroom.
