~3 months later~

It's been a couple months.

Max bullies me a little.

But I'm okay with it.

I think...

If he goes too far I know how to shut him up anyways.

Adam and Aleasa stepped down from their leadership positions and offered it to Max and I.

Of cource, I would happily be head cheerleader.

But now...

People are starting to ship Max and I just because we're team captain or head cheerleader.

It's kinda annoying.

The exams were over about a month ago so we have 2 more months until winter break.

Max is leaving next year which makes me kinda sad.

The next big thing coming up is the senior dance.

But the only way sophmores or juniors can go is if a senior brings us.

Max is taking all of us to go so yay.

These months have been the best or worst.

I've started kinda bulling Shelby, but that's just because I've been wanting to avoid my feelings for her...

Every single night I get a good dream about her...

Somethings happening but I don't know what.

As long as Shelby's with me...

WAIT WHAT.

SHELBY'S MY...FRIEND...I would never say that.

"MAX ROSS OPEN UP. WE HAVE TO GO FOR BREAKFAST" I say knocking on their dorm.

Then I remembered that they hide an extra key under their plant....

Luckily its fake.

I grab the pot and lift it up.

I use my feet to kick the key out but end up slipping on it.

"Shelby what do you-" I hear Max's voice as I slip.

Max catches me in time.

The plant drops behind us.

"M-Max. T-T-Thanks" I stutter.

Dammit brain.

"I-Its okay...A-A-Are you okay?" He asks.

We were both blushing at this point.

"Y-You can put me d-down now" I stutter, blushing even redder.

"Y-Yeah" Max stutters blushing even more.

He carefully places me down.

"T-Thanks" I say feeling the blush go away.

"N-No problem" he says smiling.

"Max what's going- MY PLANT" Ross says running to his plant.

"Are you ded?" He asks.

Max and I laugh.

~That evening~

"Shelby?" Max asks.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"I want to talk to you about something" he says.

"About what?" I ask.

"Meet me at the roof when your ready" He says.

"Okay..." I say.

I go into my dorm house room thing and change into a white flowey shirt with shorts.

I grab a white headband and put it on.

I grab my white sneakers to match and head out to the roof.

"Shelby" Ross says waiting at the door to the roof.

"Ross?" I ask.

"Max is up there. Go" he says.

I nod and walk up, unsurely.

I climb up the ladder and see Max staring at the sky.

The moonlight shinning on his necklace in the shape of a 'Z'.

I try to close the door softly but the wind just blows it closed.

It slams.

Max jerks his head towards me. Once he sees me, he relaxes.

I sit next to him, careful not to fall.

For a while, we just kinda stare at the sky.

The only source of light was from some dorm rooms, the street lights, and mostly the moonlight.

Have you ever read books where they say the moonlight illuminates the darkness? And you don't think its possible?

Well...it actually is...
