"...So yea, basically Brad told us to get your stuff, so we snuck into your house and got it" Tris finally finished explaining how all my stuff got here.
"Hang on, 'snuck in'? You guys broke into my house?" I asked out of disbelief.
"Nooooo, it's not breaking in if you have a key" Connor said smugly.
"Ahhh, of course! You took my key. Well, thanks for doing that guys, I really appreciate it" I said with a smile whilst hugging them.
"Consider it a birthday present. Speaking of which..." James said as he pulled me into the lounge and sat me down.
Then Tris, Con and James each pulled out red boxes with blue bows on top and handed them to me. I opened Tris' box first, and inside was a DVD. It was blank, so I put it into the TV and pressed play. As soon as it started, and yes I hate to say this, but I was crying. Again. It was our old rehearsals that we used to film. We were never a band, but we always filmed us all doing a cover together or something. And Tris put them all on disk.
"Thankyou Tris. It means a lot. It's perfect" I walked over and gave him a hug, before glancing around and seeing tears in his, Brad's and James' eyes.
Next up was James' box. I opened it and gasped. Inside was his old guitar, the one I always said I wanted. It was plain, but it had been signed by a lot of people like Taylor Swift, all the members of McFly and Busted and that's just a few of them.
"Thankyou James! But, are you sure? I mean Taylor Swift signed it..." I started, purposefully to wind him up, which worked.
He playfully whacked my arm before pulling me into a hug "I'm sure. I want you to have it. Happy birthday Izzy"
Last was Connor's box. I pulled the lid off and let out a little laugh.
"I'm sorry, I know it's not very good but honestly I didn't know what to get for you" he muttered whilst scratching his head.
"No, Connor, it's perfect" I reassured him as I gave him a quick hug before emptying the box of its contents and sifting through.
In the box was a collection of 'The Vamps' merch. There were wristbands, t-shirts, hoodies, posters, CD's and the list goes on. I quickly grabbed one of the t-shirts and ran into my room and changed into that and leggings. The top said '#1 Vampette' on the front and all 4 of the boys name in a list on the back. I ran back into the lounge and grinned, which was returned by all of the boys.
"Joe says we gotta film another cover in a few days guys" James looked up from his phone.
"Yea, ok, we'll think of a song later" Brad said whilst indicating for me to spin so he could see the back of the shirt - well at least I hope it was the shirt.
Me and Brad still aren't together, and honestly, I don't know if we ever will be. I want to be with him, but can things really just go back to the way they were. It's been 3 years, surely we've changed or something... I realised I'd been staring into space, so I turned back around to find the guys all whispering to each other.
I raised my eyebrow and thought back to that song that they recently released. Will you, no... Can We Dance! That's it! I decided I was going to sing a couple of lines that I thought might be fitting here.
"I've been a bad, bad boy,
Whispering rude things in her ear..."
They all jumped, turned to face me and burst into laughter, as did I.
"So, what were you guys whispering about?" I asked after we all finally calmed down. They exchanged looks and all nodded.
"We talked to Joe, and well... Would you like to do a cover with us" Tris practically squealed like a 8 year old girl.
I was speechless, so I just nodded, which resulted in Connor getting a massive grin and running around screaming: "OMG! We're doing a cover with Izzy Hope Simpson!!"
Well, isn't today just full of surprises!
