"... I don't know guys... We've been thinking about this for hours! Maybe we should try again tomorrow?" Tristan suggested. For the past 2 hours we had been thinking of what song we were going to cover.
Just then, my phone started to ring.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Izzy! Thank god you picked up! We've been robbed! All you're stuff was taken" my mum was frantically yelling down the phone. Impeccable timing as always mother.
"Mum, calm down! You weren't robbed! I moved out, like I said I would, remember..." I said slowly.
"Oh Isabel... Please can we talk about this?" She whispered.
I put my hand over the phone and turned to Brad.
"Can I give her this address so we can talk?" He nodded.
I quickly told my mum the address and she hung up saying she'd be here soon.
"I guess we'll leave" James didn't sound very pleased.
"No, sit. It won't take long. I'm not going back" I pushed him back down.
There was a knock at the door and I rushed to answer it. My parents walked straight into the lounge like they owned the place. They took one look at the boys and instantly scowled.
"Huh, so finally 'betraying your oh-so precious Bradley' for one of these losers? I always did hate that boy" my dad muttered. I winced when he said it. He was such an asshole.
"Hi Mr Robinson" Brad shyly said whilst standing up. My dad backed away with a face of disgust. Yep, that's my dad...
"Ugh, Isabel, what is he doing here? Come on, we're leaving!" My dad boomed across the room.
"No way! Don't think after what you did I'm just gonna walk outta here with you! Oh, and he lives here too!" I screamed back.
My dad got right up in my face this time. "What did you say?! All we ever did was treat you like a princess you spoilt brat!" He yelled as he slapped me across the face, causing me to fall to the floor.
Before anyone one else could interfere, my mum grabbed my dad's arm and pulled him to the door. Just before she walked out, she turned to me.
"Don't even think about coming back" and that's my mum...
As soon as the door slammed shut, Brad ran over to me, lifted me and carried me to the couch. After a few minutes of silence, someone finally spoke.
"I know this probably isn't a good time, but I have an idea for a cover..." Connor muttered whilst scratching his head.
"What is it?"
"Princess of China, by Coldplay and Rihanna! I love that song" he loaded the song on YouTube and played it. We all agreed that it was a good choice.
