Chapter 1: lots-o-water

Percy's p.o.v.

The small boat rocked back and forth as Percy pushed it along in the Atlantic. He tried to make as little movement as possible, for Leo was curled up on the bench opposite of him, snoring. Percy remembered what Leo had said when he agreed to search for the 'mystery girl'. His eyes had widened before millions of 'thank you's' and 'you're the greatest demigod ever's' had spilled out of his mouth.
Percy lost track of time and started to think about Annabeth, and their time in Tartarus. it wasn't until he almost flipped the boat that Percy remembered he was at sea.
"Don't go-!" Leo lurched forward off of his bench, grabbing and scratching at the air. He sat up on the bottom of the boat, his impish grin spreading across his face. "I am funny, I'm just glad that you know it." Leo said as Percy broke out into laughter. "Hey man, why don't you get some sleep, I'll keep an eye out for any of your relatives." Leo looked at Percy.
"I'm not related to every monster we come across!" he tried to protest, but Leo's idea sounded really good, and he fell asleep to the sound of the sea.
