CALEO IS DAM EPIC!!!!

Chapter 3: Xenia

Leo's p.o.v.

The girl hummed to herself as she waited for us to reach shore. "Took ya long enough." she rolled her eyes at us as we jumped out of the boat (I actually tripped and fell off the side of the thing, but that's not important..)

"Um, excuse me, but who are you?" Percy asked her, clearly confused.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!! I'm Xenia, and this is my home, Ekimina." Xenia smiled sweetly at us. "Would you like to come in?" I looked over to Percy, and found him stumbling behind Xenia, and heading off of the beach.

"Guess I'll let myself in." I muttered, and started jogging to catch up with Percy and Xenia, who were far ahead of me.

ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ

Leo couldn't believe how beautiful her home was. It was almost exactly like Calypso's, but a bit more modern.

"So, why do you live on an island? Did you do something utterly horrible?" Percy asked, while stuffing his face with blue chocolate chip cookies. I answered him before Xenia could.

"Percy, who does Xenia look like? Whose home- whose island does hers look like? Why do you think she's here?"

"Uhmm... I dunno." He gave me a lopsided smile.

"How does Annabeth put up with you?" I face-palmed, laughing at Percy.

"If you would let me, I would love to tell you why I'm here." Xenia suggested. I already knew that Xenia was Calypso's mother. It was obvious. The looks, the island, it just adds up, right?

Wrong.

Turns out, Xenia is Calypso's older sister. They had both supported their father when he tried to defeat the gods. Her punishment wasn't as cruel as Calypso's, though. She didn't have to fall in love with them for them to leave (this was because Apollo fancied Xenia before the war) They could just go.

After Xenia was finished explaining, we all headed back into her home. Percy and Xenia talked about 'the importance of catasual Fridays' their words, not mine. Apparently, it has something to do with cats, and blue cookies... Anyways, I got bored listening and wandered out into the jungle of Ekimina. When I reached the beach, something shiny caught my eye. I walked over to the object, and dug it out of the sand. It was... a rolled up piece of celestial bronze? Weird. The sun was starting to set behind me, and I really didn't want to meet the creatures that come out after dark, so I started trudging back through the trees.

ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ

I got the pleasure of meeting a hellhound, some scary looking fish-dude, and an angry Xenia in under 30 minutes. "Where have you been?! I thought you were eaten! Or maybe you had drowned!" she yelled at me before Percy butted in."I would have felt it if he had drowned." He suggested helpfully. Xenia threw her hands into the air and marched away. "Ugh! Men!" was all I heard before I busted out laughing. "Oh my gods! The look on her face! She was as orange as celestial bronze! Oh! Which reminds me..." I dug the 3ft x 4ft rolled up sheet of celestial bronze out of my magical tool belt.

"Woah! What is it? Have you opened it yet?!" Percy asked with new interest. And as soon as he said it, I realized with a start that, no, I haven't opened it yet, therefore, I have no idea what it is... Slowly, I untied the orange ribbon that was wrapped around the slab of metal. Percy watched as I ever so slowly opened the celestial bronze. We both gasped at what was on the inside of the sheet.

"I can't believe it."
