It's been a week since we came back home from Dark Witch Academy. And it's summer break! Fujioka-sensei wants us to go home because of summer break, and because of our dormitory. It's all broken down because of Amy. so it's gonna be remolded. Everyone of my friends are all packed up for the break and waited for our rides back home in front of the academy. The girls are talking to each other of what there gonna do during the break. It sounds so magical, I wish I could join. But I want to see my parents and Momo.
"I'm glad I'm coming over to your place during the break Rin." Smiled Souta.
"I know right! I'm so excited! Let's see if Momoka will remember you. She was just a baby when you left to come here." I giggled.
"Yea. Man, it's been forever since I last stayed in your house." Souta grabbed my hand, his hands feels so warm.
His warmth is so soothing.
From the corner of my eye, I see Haru glaring at us. Souta saw him and glared back. I can feel how tensed it is between them.
"Haru? What's wrong?" I ask.
"...Nothing." Haru stubbornly turned away.
Haruhi popped out form behind of Haru.
"He's just jealous of Souta that he can't spend time with you during the summer." Haruhi teased.
"Haruhi! Shut up! No I'm not." Haru shouted.
I looked at his chocolate brown eyes, he looks so sad and in pain.
"Haru, are you oka--" A white car came in from the drive way and honked.
The left back window went down and I see a little girl with short brown hair wearing a small side pony tail.
"Onii-chan!" Shouted Momoka from the back seat of the car.
"Rinkuta!" My mom got out from the passenger side of the car and ran to me. She looked worried and scared. "Are you okay!?"
"Y-Yea, I'm fine." I answered. "Mom these are my friends." I introduced them to mom, and she introduced herself as well.
My dad came out with little Momo and walked to me.
"Did you fight some bad witches?" He asked.
"Yup!" I looked at my friends from behind. "But I wasn't alone. My friends were there too."
My dad looked at me and gave me a smile, and pat my head.
"That's my girl." Dad saw Souta started talking to him.
"Did you protect my daughter?" He asked.
Souta looked down.
"No sir, I'm sorry." Souta clutched his hand, shaking.
"Did you try?"
"Yes, but it wasn't good enough. The power inside Rinkuta took over the fight." Souta muttered.
"Power inside?" Both my mom and dad looked at each other with worried faces.
"Mom? Dad? What's wrong?" I questioned.
"...It's--"
"...It's been like two months and you've already become this strong! That's my girl!" My dad lift me up from my waist, letting me feel the warm, warm air.
Are they... Keeping a secret from me?
"Me too daddy! Me too!" Momo laughed.
"Alrighty then princess!" He put me down, and lifting my sister up in the air.
"Okay, let's get going. Say bye to your friends Rinkuta." Said mom as she waits in front of the car.
"Okay!" I turned around and looked at everybody. "It looks like I have to go."
"Yea..." Muttered the girls.
"But it's okay! We'll see each other! Summer goes by quick." Haruhi tried to cheer us up.
"Your right." Said happily Miyu.
"Have fun." Said the girls.
Haru walked to Souta quietly.
"You better protect her for me okay." Haru said with a gloomy expression.
"What are you talking about. I'm protecting her for my good. Not yours." Souta walked away from Haru and went into the car with my family.
""Bye Rinkuta!" Waved the girls.
"Bye!" I waved back as we left the school. Even though, I kinda just met the girls, and just met Haru, I already miss them.
"Onii-chan! Look what I drew!" Momo showed my her drawing of a girl (I think) with brown twin tails with a magic wand. She also drew a little girl holding hands with the twin tail hair girl. "That's us!"
"Wow! It's so beautiful!" I smiled.
"Are you gonna become an artist when you grow up?" Asked Souta.
"Na-uh. I'm gonna be a wizard! Just like Onii-chan."
Just like... Me?
"You know, you will have to work hard everyday to become strong." Said my father while driving.
"And when you do start using magic, you can't tell your friends." My mom told Momo.
"Awww Why?" She wined.
"Because--"
"Because that will scare them. And we don't want that. So we need to keep this a secret."
"Okay!"
Secret... What is mom and dad keeping something so important away from me? Do they know about the power inside me? I need to know.
