Promise

It started to become late, it's like 6 in the afternoon. After we left the academy dad took us to an arcade for us to play and hang out like how we used to. Right now, were just a corner away from home, I stare out of the cars window listening to my mother talking to my father, and Momo talking to Souta. I can't stop thinking of what happened that day, when I apparently use my inner power. What happened? Dad drove into the garage and parked.
"Okay, were home." My dad said as he turns off the car.
We all exited out the car and carried our bags into the house. As soon I entered the house, I felt back at home. It feels so nice to be back.
"Souta, you can sleep in your old room. And let me help you carry those bags up to your room." Dad said.
"Yes sir." Souta gave some of the bags to him and both walked into my room.
I carried my bags into my room. I opened the door and turned on the light. Some of my anime posters were still hanged where I left it, my room is cleaned and fresh. I'm home. I dropped my bags and flew to my bed. Oh I miss my stuffed toys! I heard the door bell from the front of the house rang.
"I'm getting it!" I jumped off of my bed and ran down stairs to the door. I swung the door open, I see a girl with brown hair with green eyes and glasses. "Mayu!"
"Hey Rinkuta!" Mayu hugged me and then looked at me with a flustered look.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I heard of what happened. Are you okay?" She got really close to my face.
"Y-Yea... I'm fine." I guess I'm fine. I just don't know what happened that time. "Come on in."

We were in my room talking to each other. I was mainly telling her how Mana Wizard Academy is so cool, and I made so many friends.
"I wish I could of gone with you." Mayu hugs my little bunny toy that smells like white chocolate.
"I know. I could show you my friends! They are really nice people." I giggled of remembering the funny times being with them, and going on that date with Haru and Souta.
"Did you meet cute guys? What about that Haru person? Or what about that Souta person." Mayu gave me that look.
"W-What? No! Well... Yea?... I don't know!" I smiled. "But they have nice personalities."
"But didn't one of them tried to kill you?"
"He was a witch! Not a wizard!" I yell.
"I thought witches can only be girls?"
"Me too. But we were wrong"
I heard knocking from my door.
"Rin, can I come in?" Question Souta from the hallway.
"Sure." Souta came in shirtless, his green towel was somewhat rapped around his neck.
"I need help turning on the shower... I'm kinda used to mine at the academy." Souta laughed.
"O-Okay..." I can't stop looking at him... My face was bright red. I turned to Mayu and I see her face red as well. I grabbed a pillow that was near me and threw it to her face as hard as I can. "Mayu! Don't look at him!"

I came back in to my room from helping Souta with the shower.
"Is that the Souta person you've been telling me about? he's pretty hot." She giggled.
Yet again, I grabbed a pillow near my and threw it to her face.
"Pervert!" I know that wasn't my first time seeing him like that. Yet, that's when we were kids... This is my first time actually seeing him shirtless like that. So embarrassing! "So, how's school?" I asked.
"Eh. Since Fujioka-sensei left, we got a new teacher. It's pretty much the same. But a bit more magical."
"Oh. I see. So hows Izumi?"
"She's doing fine. I'm kinda getting used to her being around." Mayu said, her little doll came out of her pocket and flew around me.
I giggled because how warm is her personality.
"What happened to Yuki?" Questioned Izumi.
"I...I don't know.... When I got captured I couldn't feel her presents."
"But you could feel Haru and Souta's energy?"
"It's had to explain." I wonder... I created a small ice magic circle in front of me, and summoned Yuki. Yuki came out. "Yuki!" I grabbed her little stuffed body and hugged her.
"What happened?" She questioned.
"You don't know?"
"No, I was in my summing world, where all creatures live like me."
"Huh. Wow. I wish I could see that world." I said.
"Me too." Smiled Mayu. She looked at her watch on her wrist and got up. "I have to get going. I gotta help out my mom for dinner. Bye Rinku."
"Bye."
Mayu took Izumi and walked out of my room. I can hear my mom and dad saying bye to her as she leaves. I sit on my bed missing the academy. Someone knocked on my door again, it was soft
"Rinkuta. It's me again." Souta said from the hallway.
My face turned bright red, is he gonna be shirtless again?! I grabbed my blanket and hid underneath it.
"Y-Yes?!" I stuttered.
"It's your turn to take a shower." Souta said as he leaves the hallway.
"Oh, okay. Thank you for telling me. Yuki, why don't you go play with Momo for now."
"Okay!" Said Yuki happily and flew out of the doorI got up and ran to my dressers. I picked out my pajamas since it's like 7 right now, and I know myself that I wouldn't go out right now. I then ran out of my room and entered into the restroom.

-=Souta=-
I heard Rinkuta closed the restroom door and turned on the water. I walked into my room that I had since when I was a kid. I looked around my light blue room, they still had my toys. I remember I promised myself that I would protect her, but I couldn't... I kept on hating myself, why do I have to be so week?! I grabbed a black shirt from my luggage and put it on. I brought out my wand from my luggage, and held it tight. Father, I need you to give me strength, your courage, so I can protect the person who I care about so much.

-=Rinkuta=-
I feel so refreshed! I just out of the shower, and dry off my hair a little bit as I walked into my room. I left my door open and threw my towel on my bed as I jumped on my bed. That shower was so nice. Why is mom and dad keeping a secret from me? What power do I have? Is it good? Or bad? That look from there faces look bad...
"Rin? Your out of the shower already?" Asked Souta, he pops his head in my room like a little kid.
I giggled and nodded.
"Yea.'
Souta came in to my room and looked at my hair.
"Look at you. Your gonna catch a cold if you have your hair like that. Your 14 years old and yet you still can't take care of yourself." Souta laughed. He grabbed my towel from my bed and started drying my hair with it.
My heart beats fast, my heart is tensed up.
"I can take care of myself. I know how to cook and clean. I also have ice magic, so I don't think I can get sick. Don't treat me like a kid." I said stubbornly. I'm not a kid. I can take care of myself.
"Yea... Your right..." Souta stopped rubbing my head with the towel for a second and continued, putting on a fake smile.
"Souta. Are you still mad at yourself?" I questioned.
He stayed quiet.
"What are you talking about?! I'm happy you can protect yourself."
Souta... Stop lying. I know your hurt. I grabbed Souta's hands from my head, we both gazed at each other's eyes. His lonely blue eyes, it's so hurt. I brought my hands to his face, slightly rubbing his cheek.
"Souta..." I brought his forehead to mine, gazing at his eyes. "Don't lie to me. Remember that day, when we were just little kids. I promised you that I won't never leave you. And I'll stay true to that promise. Just promise me that you need to tell me about your feelings. I don't want you to be sad anymore Souta."
Souta eyes widened, his eyes are sparkly and bright. His face turned red, like a flower blooming in spring, even though it's summer.
"Rinkuta... There's something I need to tell you..." Souta said quietly as he moves away.
I stared at him, waiting for his response.
"I.... I--" He took a deep breath and smiled. "I'm glad I met you. If I didn't, I wouldn't smile this much. Thank you. Now let's brush your hair right." He said as he grabs my brush from on top my dresser.
"I told you already! Stop treating me like a kid!" I cried. That day, when Souta and I first met, when we went home together, I promised him that I would never leave him. Not because he has nowhere else to go, but because of who he is. And he promise me that he will tell me how he feels. I don't want him sad. I hear Souta humming, he used to hum a certain song when we were kids. The song is soft and gentle, like a small breeze rushes threw a field of warm, green rich grass. It's a story about his clan, of how powerful they are. When I felt the brush gently goes threw my hair, it feels relaxing, especially with the song.. I closed my eyes and nodding myself to sleep.
-=Souta=-
I brush Rinkuta's hair while thinking what Rinkuta said to me. Her face was so close to mine. I couldn't stand how close we were, I wanted to scream. I felt Rinkuta leaning on my chest. I stopped humming and froze.
"R-Rinkuta?!" Is she asleep? I looked at her face, her skin is soft, her face looks like a beautiful doll. I smiled and lay her down on her bed. I cover her with her pink blanket, and reached the ceiling to turn off the lights. It's so normal here. It's like there's no such thing as magic in this place. I was about to leave Rinkuta's area, until I felt something tugging me. I turned around and I see Rinkuta holding my black shirt.
"Don't leave me." Rinkuta muttered.
I-Is she awake?! I waited for a while. Trying to wait for a response from her, until I heard her little snore. Oh, she's just sleep talking. I forgot she used to do that a lot back then, but it looks like she's not doing it as much. Soon after, she let go of my shirt and turned around, still sleeping.
"I'm never gonna leave your side Rinkuta. Even if your in a relationship with someone else. I love you." I said. Of course there's no response, just her sleeping. I left the room, closing the door, letting Rinkuta sleep soundly.
