The Guys Next Door

Chapter 2

I walked inside and plopped my bags down on the floor. I sat on the floor." You can go pick your room now." My mom said." I didn't know if you wanted to pick first." I said looking at her. " We'll let you go first." my mom said as my dad hugged her." Ok thanks." I said grabbing my bags and walking up stairs . I took a left and opened the only door in the hall way. I went inside and the room was huge ! There was two windows with ledges you could sit on. One faced the beach the other faced the neighbors window. I sit at the window that was facing my new neighbours house. I see figures run past the window with nerf guns and I guess I caught ones eye because he turned around and waved. He put the nerf gun down at his side and opened the window. He had curly dark brown hair and a beard. He was happy from what I could see.

"Hi." the stranger spoke.

"Hi."

"Oh so you're the one that moved there. "

"Yeah why ?"

"Oh well because I didn't know someone that pretty moved in."

"Oh thanks." I blushed

"Oh I'm being rude. My name Adam. What's yours ?"

"My names Adria, but you can call me Addy."

"Oh cool, so you want to come over and meet me face to face, not window to window ?"

"Ha. Sure I'll be there in a bit."

"Okay, see you then." he said closing his window and waving goodbye.

I closed my window and walked downstairs. I was just about to grab the door nob when my moms voice stopped me. "Where are you going missy ?" she asked taking a sip of her tea and ruffling the news paper she was holding. I crossed my fingers and without turning around said, "I'm going next door to meet our new neighbours." "Oh making friends fast are we ?" she said. "Yeah, so can I go ?" I asked still facing the door. "I don't know, can you ?" she said and I could hear the smirk on her face." May I go ?" I asked grinding my teeth." Yes because you look like even if I said no you would rush out the door anyway." She said. "Thanks." I said back opening the door."Be home anytime, you deserve it." My mom said dismissing me from our conversation.

I knocked on Adams door. And slid my hand back in my pocket as I stepped back. The door opened but it wasn't Adam. It was a guy with light brown hair that met at a peak in the front in a red hat that was backward opened the door.

"Uh hi ?" he questioned my presents.

"Hi umm I'm Adams friend."

"Oh uh yeah. Come in but duck when you walk in." he said opening the door to let me in.

"Thanks."

"Adam ! Your friend is here !" he yelled upstairs. Adam ran downstairs and dived in front of the couch. "Oh hey Addy." he said laying the gun on the back of the couch pointing it toward the stairs as the mystery man who let me in ran downstairs. " Oh and the guy who let you in is named Jason." Adam said." Oh ok." I said. "Look out !" Adam screamed and opened fire on the stairs. But it was to late. I was already covered in, sticky nerf darts and about to pass out ?

"Is she okay ?" a voice asked.

"I don't know. I shot her with the nerf gun and she fell." Another voice said.

"Put ice on her head." Adam said.

I slowly opened my eyes. I sat up a little to see a face in mine. And it wasn't Adam or Jason.
