Angels and vampires are not supposed to have children. Hell, they're not even supposed to be together in the first place. And I guess it's just my luck that my parents were the only two in history to ever break that rule. So that is why, on December 21rst, 2010, I was kicked out of heaven.

"Oh, come on, Eve, there's gotta be a mistake," I insisted as I stood before the gates of heaven. My father stood calmly beside me as we recieved possibly the worst punishment in all of Heaven, Earth, and Hell. Eve shook her head regretfully.

"Sorry, Evie, but the boss ordered it himself," she said. I stomped my foot in anger.

"But it's not my  fault. It's his," I complained, pointing at my father. His blue eyes showed no signs of disagreement, but he still said nothing. Eve sighed, and raked a hand through her hair.

"Evie, please, just make my job easier and leave," she pleaded. I shook my head firmly, aware of the stubborn set in my jaw.

"No," I ground out. Eve rubbed her temples.

"Fine, but just know that you brought this on yourself," she told me as she pressed a button on her golden wristband that all angels carried. Unfortunately, mine had been confinscated after I blew up half of God's throne. I said it was an accident, but no one believed me.

"Wait, brought what on?" I asked in panic. Eve didn't say anything, just waited. But for what? Sure enough, Adam suddenly appeared behind me and hoisted me up by the back of my jeans. We were supposed to wear these stupid white gowns, but I refused. It would have been a lot harder to grab me by a dress. Too late now. I struggled fiercely.

"Let me go!" I demanded. I recieved no response as I was hauled through the gates and to the edge of our puffy little cloud. Without warning, I was thrown off the side.

At first, we were so high up I couldn't even see the ground. And then I could see it. I screamed as the earth rushed up at me. I wouldn't die from the impact, but it sure would hurt like hell. Ha. I made a funny.

The wind whipped my perfectly styled golden hair about. Thanks a lot for ruining my hard work, wind. So, back to me screaming my head off as I fall to my figuritave death. As I neared that incredibly solid looking dirt, I closed my eyes and braced for impact. But it never came. Hesitantly, I opened one eye. And saw my father's face looking at me. He had caught me.

With a huff, I wriggled out of his grasp. His face was still blank, as always. Like all angels, including half angels as well, he was very attractive. His dark brown hair was always arranged perfectly, and his bright silvery-blue eyes stood out. I can see why my stupid vampire mother fell for him.

"Thanks for catching me," I muttered.

"No problem," Sariel replied smoothly. Sariel was my dad's name, meaning 'angel of guidance.' Which was actually his job, ironically. He was a guardian, whose job was to escort spirits to heaven. Ha. Only full angels got to do that. And only full angels had wings. Speaking of wings...

"Dad, did they let you keep your wings?" I asked excitedly. He shook his head.

"No, they only let me keep them for a minute so i could save you from falling," he replied. Rats. There goes half a dozen awesome plans.

I brushed my jeans off, and straightened my sheer white flowy tank top.

"What are we going to do now?" I asked Sariel. He smiled.

"We're going to walk to civilization," he replied. For the first time, I noticed my surroundings. We were in the middle of a forest. A dirty, smelly, leafy forest.

"How far is civilization?" I asked desperately, hoping it wasn't too far. He only shrugged.

"Great," I moaned, wishing I hadn't worn my silver high heels. Sariel started walking in a random direction.

"How do you know that's the right way?" I yelled. He didn't even turn around.

"I don't!" he called back. I threw my hands up in the air. Whatever. With a reluctant sigh, I followed my father.

"This is totally the wrong direction, isn't it?" I said glumly. Night had already fallen, and we had been walking for several hours already. My legs were exhausted, which was unusual. Angels don't get exhausted easily.

"Just wait," my father told me. I snorted, but did as he asked. We walked for about another thirty minutes before I spotted a house with golden light pouring out of the windows.

"Finally!" I exclaimed joyfully, and darted forward out of the trees. Before I could ge too far, though, my father yanked me back and clapped a hand over my mouth.

"What the heck!" I shouted, but it came out muffled.

"We don't know who or what is in there," he told me fiercly. I almost laughed. I could defend myself against any human on this earth. I shook his grip off and sprinted towards the house before he could catch me. I thundered up the stairs that led to the porch and flung the door open.

"Thank god I found you, I've been walking through the forest all day," I started, playing the damsel in distress, but stopped when I saw the scene in front of me. About four boys were crouched around a young human girl. She had bite marks on her neck, and the boys had blood smeared around their mouths. Their gazes snapped up to me. They seemed surprised. One wiped his mouth off on the back of his arm and stood up. He sighed.

"Poor human. You know, I really wish I didn't have to kill you," he said in a silken voice. I was confused. What the hell? And then it clicked. They were vampires. The one who stood up suddenly lunged towards me, fangs bared, and I leaped to the side with a startled yelp. He came at me again, and I backhanded him in the face. He went sprawling on the ground, and they all froze in shock. Then I remembered that I shouldn't be able to do that. I forced a chuckle.

"Well, look at the time, I really must be going," I spit out, then took off. I jumped down the three steps, and Sariel was waiting for me at the bottom.

"Told you," he snapped as he ran along side me.

"Not the time," I panted. Suddenley, I was tackled. One of the vampires. Dammit! I thrashed back and forth wildly, but I couldn't shake the weight on top of me.

"Can you just hold still?" he grunted, and I felt a sharp sting in my arms, which were pinned behind my back. My vision grew fuzzy, and I stopped struggling. Everything went black, and I fell into darkness.
