"Josh" Tyler said suddenly, yet in a subtle tone.

Tyler whipped his head to face Josh's side of the bed, to see him gone. The creases from where he had been laying still remained. His pillow was ruffled, and a single strand of hair was rested upon the white cushion.

Tyler lifted his shoulders, and then released them, with a sigh of despair.

The words "Josh is gone" Kept repeating themselves in his head, like a broken record.

He walked delicatley across the bedroom, towards the window. He looked outside, seeing all the happy, fresh morning faces, as he stood feeling inprisoned in his own feelings.

Tyler finally decided to make himself breakfast.

Although at the same moment that the thought of food slithered into his mind, it occured to him that a strong, sweet and heavenly smell crept into his small nose.

Suddenly all of his dark thoughts had vanished.

"Pancakes?" Tyler questioned silently to himself.

He believed himself to be going mad, although the smell was undeniably genuine.

He felt cautious and hopeful as he trotted slowly towards the kitchen, whilst the smell just grew stronger and stronger the nearer he got.

And there was Josh.

Looking picture perfect in his loose, slinky cuddly pyjamas.

Josh peered round and caught sight of Tyler, as he was flipping pancakes.

"Morning" Josh said, casually.

Tyler felt his heart tingling, and his stomach being tickled as he appreheanded what had just happened.

His mind told him "Josh isn't gone" and he felt a weight lifting off his shoulders.

"Oh" Tyler said, with nothing more to say.

"Huh?" Spoke Josh, as he served the pancakes onto fitting plates.

Tyler watched, for about a minute, and then replied.

"I had that dream again." Tyler muttered.

Usually, other people wouldn't hear Tyler, as he typically muttered so quietly. But Josh had known Tyler for years, and his ears had been able to recognize what Tyler had to say, perfectly.

Sometimes Tyler would suspect that Josh could read his thoughts. Either way, it didn't bother him.

Josh placed both plates onto the island counters, lined up with their seats perfectly, and carefully drizzled thick, glossy chocolate sauce on top.

Josh sat down and patted the seat next to him tenderly.

"Again, huh?" Josh said, with a tone of sympathy not only in his voice, but on his face. Tyler could see he was worried.

"Yeah." Tyler sat down, picking up his fork and beginning to munch away.

For a few moments, Josh was thinking, and hesitant to eat, but finally he gave in and plunged into his food.

"Josh?" Tyler said after finishing.

"Yeah?" Josh said, still chewing but careful not to speak with his mouth full in front of Tyler.

"Do you think..." Tyler stopped talking and thought about what he was about to say. And then shook his head.

"Do tell. I never judge you, Tyler." Josh said caringly as he looked deeply at Tyler.

Tyler paused, and then said "Do you think my dreams are a sign?"

Josh finished his mouthful, and looked out the kitchen window.
