"Tyler?" a delicate voice whispered.

Tyler's eyes opened by an inch, and Josh was by his side.

His unforgettable face.

Tyler instantly whimpered, and was shaken to his core.

"Tyler what's wrong?" Josh repeatedly asked.

"N-No. I'm sorry!" Tyler began pulling the covers over himself and wincing

"For what?" Josh sounded deeply troubled and confused.

Tyler decided not to reply.

After all, Tyler wasn't good enough for Josh.

Josh had said it himself.

"Tyler, please look at me.." Josh requested, a sorrowful tone to his voice rang in Tyler's ears.

Tyler slowly eased off the cover and stared at the bed.

"Will you look at me?" Josh asked once more

Tyler quickly turned his head and took a swift glance at Josh, and then looking at the bed once more. Keeping his eyes still, as if he were imitating a doll, or simply acting dead.

Tyler always had a shine in his eyes, but today, they were dim.

The lights were out.

Josh had so much to say, but Tyler's actions alone symbolised the fear that Josh had caused.

Tyler was crumpled paper.

Broken glass.

Whatever they both portrayed as a couple, it was always something which couldn't be changed.

Irreversible.

This time it was Josh who had broken the trust.

It was unbearable.

Tyler was dead inside, and Josh was alone for once.

As Josh looked around, for a spark of hope, for a splash of colour.. There was nothing.

Josh could only see grey. He was now colourblind to all.

Even Tyler was grey.

. . .

"Stay alive, Tyler!" Josh grabbed Tyler's arm so suddenly

Tyler did not move. The colours did not return.

"Tyler, do it for me!" Josh shook Tyler, rasping onto him, for everything he had left.

As he shook Tyler, he noticed his eyes diverting upwards, focused on something which was on the wall.

Josh looked up and saw the clock.

It was in black and white, not grey, although his atmosphere still remained grey.

"Tick tock." Tyler whispered.

Soon, it would be 12'o'clock.

"Stop it, Tyler." Josh commanded.

"It's too late. Look Josh." As Tyler pointed at the clock and spoke, Josh noticed a flat and dull tone in Tyler's voice.

"I'm going to be gone." Tyler whispered once more.

"Is that really you Tyler?" Josh asked

"Yes" Tyler wouldn't stop whispering, but Josh knew whenever he whispered it was the only true form of Tyler left, inside his body.

"Don't forget me Josh" Tyler had a single tear fall from his eye.

"You're not leaving, Tyler." Josh stated.

"I'm sorry. It has to be that way." Tyler spoke softly, his voice fading.

Josh grabbed his hand quickly.

"Don't you dare close your eyes!" Josh shouted

Tyler's eyes were becoming heavy.

"TYLER!" Josh screamed, gripping onto his hand harder and seeing white light approach from each wall in the room.

It was disappearing.

"I'm free" Tyler croaked, in a husky whisper

The white light evaporated most of the room now.

It was mainly Tyler and Josh remaining.

"I love you" Tyler took his last breath.

"Tyler, you can't" Josh moaned

Tyler's eyes finally shut.

And he disappeared, without another word or thought in mind.

Tyler had gone.

Forever.
