Love Springs (Kakashi x Reader)

Kakashi was outside, reading his Make-Out Tactics while chilling out with his eight ninja hounds on this bright, cool, and sunny day until you walk up to him. "Good afternoon Kakashi, how is your afternoon going?" You had been his secret girlfriend for quite some time already and no one hasn't noticed it yet. Although being his girlfriend isn't 100% a good thing, you hear that he's going to be captain for the Fourth Great Ninja War while you have to stay home at the village because you're still recovering from injuries that you received from your last mission. You were worried if he was going to die out on the battlefield and were planning to blame yourself because you were not there to save him. Thinking about nothing but the war until you hear Kakashi reply, "I'm doing good (Name). How is yours going?" You look up, wearing a smile on your face and tell him that your day is going good as well then you ask. "Mind if I sit with you and your friends?" He nods, moving over a little to give you some room to sit on the rock with him while he notices the expression that you're trying so hard to hide. "What's wrong, (Name)?"

"It's nothing. I just though we could have some alone time, since it's been so hard to lately." Your answer makes him quickly realize what's bothering you so he tries reassuring you that he won't die. "But... the Fourth Great Ninja War. It's the Five Great Nations against the Akatsuki, strong shinobi with high level and forbidden power along with the ability to be merciless towards anyone they wish. Losing our friends and most of all losing you, really worries me even more than my-" He gently holds your hand, interrupting you before you could say about your life. "Don't worry, I won't die. I promise you that." (Name) tires to hold back her tears, still not sure then he wipes your tears that you couldn't hold back. "You won't... Trust me, like you always do." You sigh, still afraid but you do your best to hide it while replying. "Alright, I trust you."

"Okay then, now the worrying is put to the side. Let's get back to the village or else Lady Tsunade will be angry with both of us for being late for something." Kakashi says with a smile, hoping you were feeling better then he sees you smile. "Since when did you become afraid of the Fifth Hokage?" Kakashi doesn't answer that question as he gently takes your hand and starts walking, but turns back at his ninja hounds. "See you guys later." Pakun replies before he and the others leave, "Yup, later Kakashi." You giggle as you were gently held by the hand, following him into the trees.
