One step. Two step. Round the corner. Bump into her. Talk. Put her in the bag. Run back home. Excellent, brother! Lorenzo pipes up from my mind, reading my thoughts. Stop rummaging through my damn mind, brother! I retort and cut off our link. I hear a crackle and cringe as he shouts a cuss at me then his voice fades away. Peaceful.
One step. Breath in. Breath out. Two step. Turn the corner. I tuck my coat into my jacket, turning. "Hmph!" Someone huffs loudly in irritation as I bang into the young woman. She sighes and picks herself up from the ice covered pavement slowly. Ooh! She's prettier than I thought! Lorenzo's voice breaks the peace in the air as he struggles to connect our link again. Bye, Throat Lozenger! I reply hastily and cut our link again.
Lozenger was fifty percent right. She was pretty. Kinda.
Her warm hazel eye's were framed by long thick dark lashes, and had weary bags under them, the orbs firing up as she stared up at me angrily. She was tall, nearly my height, but only in the help of her winter black leather boots. I was around 6'3 an at the moment she looked about, 5'8. Her short shoulder length brown hair looked freshly cut and was littered in little snowflakes. Her hair had natural blonde tips and she wore no makeup. A breeze of big snowflakes came our way and one hit her square in the face. She looked at her nose, crossed eyed and glared at it viciously. It blew up into flames and she gasped then muttered a quick, "Uh.. oops." before reaching into her knee length black petticoat and bringing out a bone handled wooden stick. A wand.
"God damn. Lorenzo didn't tell me you're a witch!" I exclaim lowly and she hisses at me before taking a step closer and pushing me against the brick wall of the deserted street. I huff as she holds up her wand to my throat and mutters, "Alítheia fíltro.", a flash of light makes me blink and she smiles.
"What is your name?!" She demands and I blink. She steps back. She huffs and pulls out a small vial from her coat pocket, she swings the black liquid down her throat and cringes. Must of been gross. He face droops down and reforms as a completely different face, her coat starts dropping slightly and her body becomes smaller and smaller. She settles into her new body easily and steps back towards me hastily.
"What was that?" I demand and she sighs then motions for me to sit down on the little street curb. When she speaks I flinch, her voice was no longer throaty and sick sounding, it was sweet and caring.
"Well, as you can hear, as you saw, I am no longer myself.. physically. I have taken a shape shifting potion, and constricted myself into your future soulmate. I have done this as now I have given you a clue as to how to find her and know who she is- if the bond isn't enough- I am hoping that this is a good enough payment for you to tell me why you wouldn't tell me your name. Your behavior was suspicious, could you answer me now?" She explains and I nod at her.
"Uh, thank you. I have been searching all over for her and by the looks of it I won't be looking no more, she looks like the niece of somebody I used to know called Star. I will accept that as a bribe." I laugh, "So here is the reward: My name is Adrian Blake Jamison and I am here to take you away." I chuckle darkly and step up from the curb, "Recall the name, love?" I finish my talking for the day and step down, to her level, on the curb. I chuck her over my shoulder and she screams.
"The people will see us, the people will see us!" She shouts. "Then use your witch shit on us!" I retort and she sighs then I feel some movement behind me as she reaches into her coat and grabs something. I feel her twist her hand around to the sky and something lands softly all over me. A sparkly black liquid dissolves into my skin with ease and I notice it going through her legs as well. I see the weird looks from people fading away as I notice the woman's weight staying but her body disappearing. My body vanishes from my sight as well, and within a minute we are vanished completely. I pick up my speed and dash faster towards my castle.

"Lozenger?" I mumble aloud and close the huge castle doors behind me, setting the young woman down. She brushes some snow off her coat and glares at me. In a swift movement her wand is out and pointed at my temple. "What is this, why am I here?" She hisses in my ear and I laugh and shrug off my damp jacket. I throw the jacket across the room and it lands gracefully on the coat stand.
"ADDY!" My brother shouts and flairs his arms around. I peer up to look around the foyer for him. He rests comfortably on an open balcony staring down at us, "Oh, young love!" He exclaims and I groan in disgust, "Ew, man! I mean yeah, she's not ugly but.. ew!"
He chuckles and jumps down from the two story height with ease. I laugh at his show of power and he grins at me.
"Now now, girly. You mind lowering your wand, magic is enabled in our castle!" Lorenzo directs his attention to the young adult and a hint of mock is laced in his voice. I stifle a laugh and she groans then I feel the wood leave my head. I sigh and rub the spot, "Thanks a lot.." I mutter and step away.
The next thing that happens, doesn't go unnoticed by Lorenzo as he doesn't hold back a rumbling laugh, I glare at him and rub my broken nose. He coughs it off and I turn to my attacker with a vicious growl.
"What?" She asks and I roll my eyes, "a punch to the nose, really?" I groan as some blood drips out and she snickers, "well, no magic so.." Her voice trails off and Lorenzo coughs suspiciously.
Lorenzo steps forward towards the girl swiftly with a long stride and a click of his posh shoes against the clean floor. "Hey! My name is Lorenzo, and this is Adrian!" He exclaims and she rolls her eyes and smacks his hand away when he holds it out.
"Ooh, spicy!" He says and she looks at him blankly before a smile twitches at her lips. She sighs, "I escape from one kidnapping and get involved in another the next year." She rolls her eyes again for the hundredth time today.
"You escaped? From who?" Lorenzo demands like a gossip girl and I snicker under my breath, earning a glare from Lorenzo. The girl ignores it.
"Alpha King Levi Felix Silveri. Just last year, I was bored there so walked out the doors." She replies.
Lorenzo chuckles darkly, "Alpha King Levi Felix Silveri... what a dick name. He's not even Royalty!"
I laugh. The girl frowns and tucks a lock of dark hair behind her ear then stares at him with confused eyes.
"Not... royalty?" She sighs as if she knew that something was too good to be true and smacks the palm of her hand against her forehead in frustration. She huffs out, "Of course."
Lorenzo answers quickly, "Not royalty. A fraud. A liar. Sorry, babe." She lifts her eyes to his playful ones and steps closer to him. She lifts her hand and I notice how long and sleek her painted dark metal nails were. She brings her hand to his forehead and he goes cross eyed watching her movements. With a swift flick she brings her nail to his face and he goes flying across the room and slumps against the wall. I notice a bruise beginning to form on his eyes.
"Not babe- Lykra James." She says and walks off into another room pleasantly.
"Oi!" I shout after her, "You don't know your way around!" She turns to look me in the eye and flicks her eyes from me to my brother.
"I think I am OK to go." She says and makes a move to go but pauses, "and don't think I don't know you were that guy at school last year that prevented me from beating someone up." And with a sweep of her coat and a flush of black smoke, she was gone.
