Warning: Gruesome.

Bang. Bang. BangBang. BangBangBang.
They start thumping on the door faster and faster, increasing their force.
"Fuck." I swear quietly, and Kara looks at me. Quickly a plan is forming in my mind.
"When I say go, follow me, do not let me get out of your sight. In the event that I do, I'm heading to the spot." I whisper to the other three. They nod their heads at me. Never in my life have I felt this much fear, so strong it flows with my blood, weaves around my bones and tightens my chest, settling in my stomach, churning until I feel sick.
Crash. Slam. Bang. The door falls.
6 Infected pile into the room. The people under the desks nearest to the door fall back, desperate to get away. Slimy hands grab them and pull them to the Infected. I can only watch as they scream and thrash in the Infected's arms until they bring their heads down and take the first bite. Horrified, I watch as their bodies shake as if having a seizure, going unconscious. The crunching of bones and the ripping of skin fills the classroom. I watch as one Infected claws at a girl's chest, finally grabbing it and pulling with a surprising strength. Her chest is ripped open and a waterfall of blood spills out onto the ground, and in the Infected's hand is a mixture of fabric and blood red, torn off skin.
All 6 of the Infected take the people closest to the door, sitting down as they munch on them. I watch as a brave boy rushes against one of the Infected who is eating another boy, and meets the brave boy's fist with a strong bite of it's jaw. The boy falls the ground in a mixture of shaking, vibrating. Momentarily not eating, the Infected reaches down and grabs the top of the unconscious boy's head, who's chest is going up and down steadily. The boy's neck turns a rainbow of colours as the Infected twists his head around a full circle with his hand, before letting it fall back onto the ground.
"They're distracted when eating." I observe. The other three turn to look at me. "We have about 15 minutes before they move on and get the next victims. More than enough time." I take a deep breath. 3..2..1.. "Go!"
I leap up from under the desk without checking if the others have followed my order. The Infected don't even look up as I slide past them into the hall.Chaos.
The hall is filled with the remains of students, pulsing blood oozing onto the ground, making it slippery. Infected roam through the halls. I watch as one Infected pushes another Infected into the lockers, making the lockers collapse. The Infected gets up as if nothing happened and staggers towards the one who pushed him, ripping off it's extended arm, and then hitting the Infected with it repeatedly while it tries to block it with it's one remaining hand. I run past all the screaming people and swarming Infected, slipping occasionally on a pool of blood. As I run I look into an empty classroom, which shows wrecked bodies all over the room, blood splatters on walls and piles of clean bones, glinting with saliva. A large shape is draped over a desk, which could only be the body of Mrs Greyson.
Outside, the sight is even worse. Bodies that managed to flee the classrooms have been attacked by the 53 zombies waiting outside. Yet none of them notice me, and my ears have seemed to dull down the screams of hundreds of dying students. I only hear the fast thumps from each time I slam my foot down in my desperate run to get out.I finally reach the spot. I stop, bend down and cough my lungs out. I turn around to see the others coming in behind me. We all collapse to the ground, not knowing what to do.
"My..bag.." Kara finally manages to choke out. We all look at her, knowing it's our only hope of surviving.
"Where is it?" I ask.
"In my locker." Kara replies. I tremble as I realise it's one of the lockers that fell down before.
"I'll go get it." I decide. Kara looks at me, scared.
"But-"
"I know your locker code, I'll go get it." I inform her.
"I'll come too." Trent declares.
"No! It's better if I go alone, then if I get hurt its only me." I half yell.
"If you go alone your going to get more than hurt." Kevin adds in, and I know it's true. Sighing angrily, I turn around.
"Let's go."
