Everyone collapses on the ground in a fit of puffing. We lay in silence for who knows how long, until finally I speak up.
"What now?"
"Do we have all the bags?" Kara asks. She looks around and counts them, answering her own question.
"It's still day, why don't we look through what we discovered last night?" Kevin suggests. Curious, I learn forward as Kevin fills us in on the events that took place when Kara and him went exploring last night.
"Why don't we look at the tools first?" I grab the bag filled with the objects and hand one to each person. I find myself holding rather large gloves. I fit them onto my hands and they shrink to fit my hand size comfortably. I move my hand to the right slightly, palm up and a sparkling blue ball with a rippling surface appears, hovering an inch above the glove.
"What the-" the others stop fiddling with their tools and turn to me.
"Trying throwing it." Ivory suggests, eyes glinting. I raise my hand to throw before Kara stops me.
"Throw it at the tree over there." Kara points to a near tree. I hadn't really looked around until now. We had managed to find ourselves in a forest like area, with tall trees and grass patches that reached up to our shins.
Once again I raise my hand, and throw it at the dark tree. The ball leaves my hand, except longer in the form of a ball. As fast as the wind on a stormy day, a two meter high , hovering wall of water shoots from my palm and hits the tree, knocking it down with the force. This only lasts for less than a second, the wall has disappeared as soon as it came. Snow my palm is empty and a tree lays on the ground.
Nobody speaks. Silently, Kara gets up to investigate the remains.
"Guys, come look at this." Kara whispers, staring at the fallen tree. We all except Ivory slowly walk over to where she stands, and gasp simultaneously.
"It's .....frozen." Kevin says under his breath, mostly to himself. The tree is no longer brown and healthy, it is now frozen. Now it is completely ice. I grab a rock and force it down on the iced tree, chipping away at the top layer of ice. The whole tree has become ice, there is no longer bark or life.

"These weapons are pretty.....dangerous." Kevin says, speaking the obvious.
"Shit, really?" Ivory laughs, rolling her eyes. Her weapon resembles a gun, with bright red highlights along it and a huge, puckered hole at the end. Before consulting anyone, she aims at another tree and shoots.
As fast as lightning, an arm of lava reaches out to the tree, wrapping a giant hand around it. The lava liquifies and falls to the ground, it then seemingly disappears while the tree stays the same shape, yet it's only ashes that remain. Kevin walks over to the tree and pokes it, sending flakes of ashes everywhere.
After everyone has finished coughing their lungs out, it's Kara's turn to try out her weapon. It looks like a perfume bottle, with an infinite green liquid container in side of it. It's a circle shape made out of bullet proof glass, with a squeezable ball on the back to spray.
"My turn, I guess." Kara gulps, before aiming at yet another tree. A droplet of green liquid lunges at the tree, fast yet gracefully, entrapping it in a cage of vines and bright coloured flowers.
On further inspection, the vines are as solid as an iron cage. It's easy to climb on the outside, with a hole at the top. Attemption to slide inside slowly showed that it is slippery, and impossible.
Meaning, you can get inside, but no one can get out.

Last of all, it's Kevin's turn. Kevin's weapon looks like a small bubble blower, with a button on the thickly built stem. Kevin points it at yet another tree, flinching as his thumb hovers above the button lightly. Sighing, he presses down.
An impossibly strong wind shoots out from the circular, thin circle and knocks the tree over, making it then fly backwards into the next tree with a loud crash. Kevin quickly lets go of the button, staring wide eyed at the tree that has flown backwards. The wind stripped the tree of its bark, and was so strong it ripped out the roots when it flew backwards.

We all sit in silence for a few minutes until Ivory silently speaks up.
"What's left of the weapons bag?" I peer inside and see only four small bands left. One red, one blue, one white and one green. I hand one to each person, keeping the blue one for myself. Slipping it on my wrist, I notice there's a switch on it. Clicking the switch, a sparkling blue bubble appears around me. When I touch it, it is as hard as a wall made of obsidian.
Everyone else clicks their switches, and each have their own sort of shield. Kara's is an egg shape overlapping collage of waist-sized flowers. Kevin's is wind whipping around him in an oval shape, making his hair move slightly. Ivory's is fire that is as tall as her bodice, smoke sheltering her head like a roof.
"What the actual fuck." Kara exclaims, and Ivory bursts out in laughter. We all stare at eachother as she regains her posture.
"How ironic." She explains. "The elements. I used to be obsessed with the elements as a child, and now it's like I'm literally living out my daydreams."
Everyone quickly switches off their bands, but we keep our weapons. Even though they are crazy scary, we also feel a bit safer having them on us.

"How do weapons like these exist?" Kara wonders out loud. I shrug, not knowing how to respond.
"Let's look at the sacks." Ivory begs, excitement lighting up her eyes. Kara takes out each small sack from a backpack, totalling as 12. Each are dark green with a lime coloured ribbon tying up the brims. Each has a different character painted on the front in a black as dark as midnight.
"What do those characters say?" Kevin asks out loud.
"They're korean." I answer. Everyone stares at me. "I taught myself a little bit of korean in primary school because I had been crushing on a girl who liked kpop and I wanted to impress her." I admit sheepishly.
"How convenient." Ivory mutters under her breath. "Alright lover-boy, what do they say?"
I grab the nearest one, which holds a jelly-like substance that looks like liquified diamonds.
고치다
"This is Korean for 'fix', otherwise known as 'heal'." I explain shortly. Ivory's hand reaches out and snatches the sack, smearing the 'fix' onto her dirty palm.
"Ivory-" Kara starts. Ivory whips her head angrily to Kara.
"It can't get any worse." Ivory fumes. "If this goes untreated for any longer, Ill die. The infection is slowly leaking into my bloodstream, Ill be dead by the end of the week. This is the best chance I've got." Ivory's eyes brim with tears.
"I'm sorry," She adds quietly. "but I can't go down without a fight." Ivory lathers her bullet wound in the diamond jelly, and stares in wonder.
"It doesn't hurt anymore.." Her voice cracks. Already the infection is gone.

"Guys, maybe we should start looking for a place to stay the night." Kara suggests as the sun starts the set in the darkening sky. "But first-we need to take these." Kara hands out a FA pill to each of us, and we swallow it quickly.
"Can you get up?" I ask Ivory afterwards. Ivory stands up, weakly limping. Silently, Kara lets Ivory onto her back as we run through the woods.
It's already dark when we finally find a cabin. We don't bother to look around as we go inside, lock the door and pass out on the couches.
