Simba scratched and clawed at Matt's hand closing in on her throat, but it was no use, he'd caught her off guard and she couldn't get free.

Through the blind spots clouding her vision, Simba could see a tussle occurring near her seat. Andy was in trouble.

Giving up scratching free, Simba instead reached down to her left boot where she had a small, silver blade hidden away. But the lengths she'd had to go through to conceal it from airport security made it more than a little difficult to simply pull from her sock.

Simba was gasping for the last breaths of air she could get at when the blade finally slipped free and she sent it straight across the side of Matt's neck with the little strength she had left. It left a gash on him that was quickly losing blood.

Matt dropped to his knees and clutched his throat. "You bitch!" he yelled and grabbed at Simba's ankle as she tried to run. She fell face first to the floor and dropped her blade before kicking him in the face and going to find Andy.

Andy was being dragged from his seat by a tall, beefy looking guy Simba had noticed when they were in economy. Andy tried to fight back against the other guy but he wasn't nearly strong enough. The tall guy had his back to Simba so he didn't see her approach as she launched herself onto his back and gripped her arms around his neck tightly. She attempted to keep herself moving and pull the guy to the floor with her, letting physics do most of the hard work. Simba wasn't even surprised it didn't work.

The big guy did let go of Andy to claw at Simba, trying get her off his back, so she counted it as a win. Then he got a pretty decent grip into her hair and tugged hard, making Simba cry out in pain and let go of him. She went flying backwards and found her blade when it sliced into her arm a little, causing another pained noise to escape Simba.

Picking up the blade, Simba climbed to her feet to run at Andy's attacker, who had resumed wrestling the bassist down the aisle, but something gripped her ankle tightly. Simba looked back to see Matt scrambling after her, still holding one hand to his neck.

Pulling her leg at Matt's grip, Simba looked around and she realised the other scared passengers were going to be of no help to her.

Instead of pulling against Matt, Simba moved back towards him in a move that twisted her ankle out of his grip so she could bring herself over the top of him. She grabbed his head and whacked it hard into the armrest of the nearest seat to knock him out. Then she went to try and save Andy again.

After taking a running start, Simba used a seat to launch herself into the heavy guy. This time physics worked with her and she pulled him away from Andy. Turning back to Andy she said, "Get back in your seat, shut up and don't move."

He didn't even hesitate to do as she said, so Simba turned her attention back to the threat.

Now she finally had a chance to weigh him up properly. The guy was big, six-foot-five at least, and he was made up of what seemed like pure muscle. Simba wasn't particularly short and was well-built herself, but this guy made her look like a midget. But as he charged at her, Simba looked at her options, and she really didn't have much choice but to charge back.

At the last second, Simba ducked down and drove her blade into his knee as she slid past him, making the guy scream in pain. But when Simba went to pull the blade back out, it was stuck in his leg.

"Just perfect," she grumbled to herself.

Simba knew her strengths and weaknesses, and hand-to-hand with a guy more than twice her size certainly wasn't one of her strengths—but what other choice did she have?

Simba got the first hit, straight to the nose, before he got her one back square in the jaw and then another one to the stomach. He spun Simba around and grabbed her in a choke-hold that she couldn't get out of no matter how hard she thrashed and wriggled.
