After lunch I walked to the cafeteria and looked for Jakob. I spotted him over by the drinking fountain and walked over there.

"Hey Jakob," I waved.

"Hey Asher," he smiled.

"Let's get in line before it gets to crowded," I said motioning towards the growing lunch line of kids.

"Okay lets go," he started walking towards the line with me.

We got in line and waiting. We grabbed our trays and both grabbed a cheeseburger. I took him to the outside sitting area with less kids.

"So where did you move from?" I looked at him scarf down his food.

"Oklahoma." He said between bites.

"That's pretty far."

"Yeah it is."

"Do you like it here?"

"It's not bad I guess," he chuckled. Adorable.

"I've lived here my whole life. It's pretty boring," I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah it seems boring, being just a farm town."

"You wanna see something cool?" I asked.

"Sure," He stood up.

I stood up and he followed me. After about minutes I stopped and pointed up.

"Wow," he looked amazed.

"It's been there forever," I smiled.

I showed him the side of the high school. There was a carving of a name and a heart. A carving. Not spray paint.

"It's really cool, Asher," he smiled that bright smile.

"Yeah it's amazing really. It's like saying their love will last as long as anything else around."

"That's some pretty deep shit," he laughed.

"Ummm sorry?"

"Why be sorry? No one I know is that smart," he chuckled.

"I don't know I'm not used to be complimented. Only insulted," I blushed.

"Wow, I thought you were the prettiest girl at school," he winked.

The bell rang and we walked to our classes taking our time. I was in no hurry as long as I was around someone sweet. This could be a good thing. But at the same time my mind was screaming what are you doing! If this went badly there would be twice as many scars on my arms.
