Finally the school day is over. I walk to the band room after my last class to get my stuff out of my band locker. I say hi to a few of my friends then walk out the back door to meet James before football practice. I look around and then see him, but he is talking to a cheerleader. I've never seen her before and she looks pretty young. Just as I was about to walk over there, one of my new freshman friends comes out the door. "Hey Joey" I say to him. He looks up, "Oh hey Chloe." He replies. "Do you know that girl over there?" I ask as I point to the cheerleader talking to James. "Yeah, her name is Natasha, she is on varsity. I heard she's pretty good." "Oh." I respond back and he hugs me and says goodbye to go home. I walk over to James and Natasha, and hear her giggling like a little school girl while touching his arm. She better not go any farther or there will be a problem. "Hey baby." I go up to James and kiss him a little longer than our normal greetings, then I wrap my arms around his waist. I look over at Natasha. "Oh hey, I'm Chloe, James' girlfriend." I say with the biggest smile I could possibly give. "Hi, I'm Natasha." she replays back to me with some attitude. Pure stuck up cheerleader. I mean not all of them are like that, but you do have a few that definitely fall under their stereotype. She looks up at James from where she is standing in front of us. "See ya later James." She says as she bites her lip and walks away. As soon as she looks away, I take my arms off of James and look him dead in the eye. "Why were you talking to her?" I ask kinda angry. He tried intertwining his fingers with mine, but I pulled away. He sighed and put his hand on my cheek. "Baby, she's just new on the varsity squad and I'm trying to be nice. You know I love you too much to ever cheat on you." He explained and looked at my with sad eyes. I gave in and sighed. "Fine, but please no more, I don't exactly like her attitude." I reply. "Of course baby, anything for you." He said and kissed my forehead, then continued, "Now I have to go before I'm late for practice. I don't want coach giving me another speech and extra laps for being late again." "Okay, talk to you tonight." He hugged me and I left to walk to my truck. I have band practice tonight and better not see that cheerleader for the rest of today.
