Chapter 2

So glad honors band is over this morning. This class seemed like to took absolutely forever! Oh well, I love my music, especially percussion. I walk out of the band room to go meet up with James to walk to first period together. As I say bye to one of my best friends, Jenniffer, I turn around and run into someone. Apparently I have a habit of doing that. I look up and see who it is. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. I should have watched where I was going." He looks up at me and says it's okay and smiles. I know him, his name is Kiall. He is super quiet, but seems nice. He is in my fourth period class, right before lunch. I will have to say hi later, I think as he keeps walking his own way. I keep walking my own way as well and find all the football guys. Yes, my boyfriend is on the varsity football team, and I'm a band nerd. We beat the stereotypes. He honestly hates cheerleaders anyway. He says they are way too girly for him and annoying. He is facing his friends while talking and I go up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist from behind. He puts his arms on mine to move them and turn himself around to face me. "Hi babe." He leans down and kisses me. "Hi." I giggle back at him. He intertwines our fingers together and turns back to finish talking with the guys. I stand and listen like I do every morning. *ding, ding, ding* The bell rings to go to first period. James and I have math during this period. He is so lucky because I have to help him quite often, but it's okay, I don't mind helping people out, especially in the subjects I'm good at. We sit down and pull out our books. We sit through the dreaded 50 minutes and then go and do the same in our biology class. After three periods, James goes to weight training for football and I go to art class. We have free seating in the class, so we switch around seats all the time. I walk through the door and see Kiall sitting in the back as usual. Maybe it's time to make a new friend. I walk over and sit down next to him. He looks up at me and smiles a little bit. "Hey, I'm Chloe. Sorry for running into you earlier. You're Kiall, right?" I say in a friendly tone. "Yes I am." He says kind of quietly. We were then interrupted by our art teacher beginning the class. She gave us our assignment and we all began. Our teacher turned on some music and we all worked pretty quietly. Our assignment was nature today. We could draw anything from nature. I decide to draw flowers like I usually love to draw. As I continue working, I glance over to look at what Kiall is working on. My mouth drops. It's amazing. He is drawing a tree with animals. I'm guessing to represent the tree of life. "That's amazing Kiall!' I tell him. "Thanks. It's the Tree of Life." He says proudly. And that's when I knew we had something in common, we both loved Disney, which is probably a good thing because we live in Florida close to Disney. "The one at Animal Kingdom?" I ask excitedly. "Yeah. I'm guessing you like Disney too?" He laughs slightly. "Of course! It's amazing! I would live there if I could." I answer him. He laughs and continues working on his masterpiece. I can tell this is going to turn into a great friendship.
