Chapter 10: the bell test part 2.

"Ready." All of our eyes narrowed, and I reached for my pouch.

"Set." I tensed and discreetly slipped a soldier pill into my mouth.

"Go!" We all jumped into the bushes.

Well, everyone except Naruto. He was still standing there facing Kakashi. I facepalmed, even I knew that we were supposed to hide, and I wasn't even from this dimension.

How are you talking to me? I thought I was supposed to know how to summon you or something...

You did; subconsciously.

I sweatdropped, Um, ok then.

It seems I was summoned because you are about to start a battle. When this happens, you mind subconsciously activates all its defences, including me.

I raised an eyebrow, So does this mean I can use your powers in this battle?

I could envision Rin with a thoughtful look on her face, I'm not sure if that's a good idea, since you've never used them before. You probably wouldn't be able to control them.

I rolled my eyes, This is serious. I did not just willingly spend a day being tortured by Ibiki only to be sent back to the academy. Nuh-uh. Nope. Not happening.

I could hear Rin sigh and I smirked in victory, knowing I had won.

Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you.

All of a sudden, I felt this numbing sensation, as if I had gotten frostbite. Then as the numbing subsided, a new feeling emerged. I felt stronger, more powerful... Colder. It was a weird feeling to explain.

I looked down and stifled a gasp. My hair had gone from silver to completely white, and... It was glowing.

"Rin! What the hell is going on?" I whispered out loud.

I suppose it's a side affect of my powers. Don't worry, you don't look too much like an old lady.

I growled, "Shut up."

I zoned into the battle once more to find Naruto, now dangling from his feet from a tree. Kakashi was nowhere to be seen.

I cursed, I had missed out on some valuable information on Kakashi's abilities.

I checked my watch, it read 10:45.

Damn, that was fast. Now, to find Kakashi...

Suddenly a scream which I identified to be Sakura's resonated throughout the woods.

Nevermind.

I sprinted quietly in that direction. After a few minutes I came across Sakura's fainted body and sniggered. Should I help her...? Nah.

I cotinued searching for a while until I finally came across Kakashi; who was now fighting Sasuke. I stopped stealthily on one of the branches to listen.

Sasuke did a few hand signs, "Fireball jutsu!" He shouted, making a small circle with his fingers and put it by his mouth. I saw Kakashi's eyes widen as Sasuke inhaled deeply. I almost fell out of the tree as a huge fireball spurted out of Sasuke's mouth and engulfed the area where Kakashi once stood.
