Draco's p.o.v-
As I saw Grace being lifted carelessly onto the creature by Hagrid I immediately became worried. Especially when the beast started running and then I heard Grace scream.

Grace's p.o.v-
As soon as Buckbeak had left the safety of the ground, of course I screamed, come on its natural instinct. We flew above the trees and towards Hogwarts.

We passed each building, the view was amazing and the way the wind made you feel completely free. We were as high as the astronomy tower and feeling both scared and excited just added to the thrill. Me and Harry were both smiling and laughing now.

Buckbeak gently flew down towards the lake every now and then dipping his right leg into the calm water. I looked back and saw the soft ripples shine in the sun. I felt Harry move and saw as he lifted both his arms up, I'll give it to him, he has guts. "Grace just try it, it's amazing!" He said to me trying to encourage me as he yelled at the top of his lungs a series of 'woahs'. I chuckled "no thanks, I'll keep my arms." I said smiling at him.

Truth be told I would love to try it but, I am too scared of my cloak falling off or blowing away. Buckbeak began flying up, instantly making Harry fall back down which just made me burst into laughter.

Him laughing with me before we heard a whistle from the trees. I felt Buckbeak flying downwards, to where we had flown up from. He landed gracefully near were Hagrid was standing. I began hearing a series of 'well done's' and 'wows' come from the crowd of classmates who were also applauding. "Well done you two, and well done Buckbeak." Hagrid said cheerfully as he made his way over to us.

I was looking at the crowd, still on Buckbeak as Hagrid put Harry on the ground before talking to him about something I couldn't hear. Out of nowhere I saw Draco push two Slytherin kids out of the way and began striding confidently in the direction of me and Buckbeak. "You're not dangerous at all, are you. Great ugly brute!" I heard Draco speak loud and clear.

I felt Buckbeak rearing like he was about to hurt Draco. Draco wasn't stopping. I heard Hagrid start to warn Draco and Buckbeak begin to rear again except this time with a lot more strength. I pulled at some of Buckbeaks feathers to stop him from hurting Malfoy.

In time Draco managed to move back to avoid getting hit but, as Buckbeak reared again; I lost grip in his soft feathers and fell back onto the ground. I felt something hit my head and I winced in pain before darkness welcomed me and all the voices were silent.

Draco's p.o.v-
I had strolled up to Buckbeak. I was agitated that Potter got to ride with Grace and how he had to be amazing at everything. I was well aware it was arrogant of me and I wasn't about to show that I was extremely jealous of Harry. "Ah your not dangerous at all are you? You great ugly brute." I said with a sneer as I approached the hippogriff.

As I got closer I saw the creature rear upwards and all I could do was watch it with wide eyes. As it was about to hit me, I shut my eyes tightly and covered my face with my left arm waiting for the pain to start.

Then nothing, not a slight impact. Instead I gradually open my eyes to see Hagrid sending Buckbeak in the opposite direction with a dead ferret, and Grace laying on the ground. Guilt and worry immediately ran through me. Why did I have to be so stupid?

She was knocked out but no blood thankfully. I peered down from her face and notice her robes that covered her right arm had slightly moved. I only saw half of her arm, that half was covered in large purple bruises and a couple cuts covering her porcelain skin.

A huge fury and rage came through me. How could someone hurt something so precious, something as innocent and as harmless. It's obvious she wouldn't hurt a fly. She may act tough and I may have not known her long but anyone who took the time of day to just look into her crystal eyes could tell.

I saw Harry rush over to her and quickly cover her arm from anyone else's view, but I saw and even though I was furious and worried, I didn't say anything, not yet. I kneeled down next to her unconscious state. Gently I took a price of hair that had flown from its natural place to in front of her nose. I placed her hair into its natural pattern and couldn't help but acknowledge how soft and smooth it was. Slowly everyone surrounded her looking down.

Granger, Potter and Weasley were all knelt down on the other side of her. Hagrid came back saying he would take her to the hospital. I quickly interjected "no it was my fault, I'll do it." I heard most people gasp at my words but before someone could question, I gently picked her up and held her in my arms, she was practically weightless but at the same time I could feel her curves and warm body heat.

I held her close to my chest and left quickly walking towards the school. Crabbe and Goyle would most likely pick up my stuff and I think Potter or Granger would get Grace's. Walking up to Madame Pomfrey's I looked down at her she was slightly mumbling as if she was dreaming peacefully.

A small piece of over cut hair kept falling in front of her eyes with every step I took. She looked adorable and I had to resist the urge to not comb my fingers through her hair and trace the odd pattern in her side shave. Thinking back over my actions since I first met her I signed irritably. Why do I have to be such an asshole?
