Danny's P.O.V

I was driving home when my phone rang

"Hello?"

"Danny I have something to tell you" Mike said in a serious tone

"What is it about?" I asked him curiously

"It's about Valdez" He said darkly

"I'm on my way. Let's talk when I get there. Gather everyone for a short meeting"

Frank Valdez. I have hated him since he birth. I want to swipe him away on the face of the earth. Our families don't get along when we get a get together everyone argues and it's always they're fault. I wouldn't hate him so much if he didn't rape my girlfriend Jean and the worst thing is he killed her. Once we were best pals despite our families problem. Jean was our neighbor and I liked her very much, What I didn't know was Frank secretly had a huge crush on her.

On our freshmen year Jean and I dated until the incident happened on sophomore year. I got frank to be put to jail and he hated me for doing it.

When I got home I rushed to the meeting room and saw Mike, Stephen, Sean and everyone else.

"What is it?" I asked

"Valdez. He's out of jail" with that I slammed my fist on the table creating a hole. I went out of the room and went to my bedroom and laid on my bed to think. After hours of thinking I decided to pack my clothes for my outfit for tonights party.

Then I called her. after three rings she answered

"whaaat?" She groaned

"I'll be there in 15 mins" then I hung up smiling

she never fails me to smile and I don't know why. ok I think I do, but we can never be together even if I want her, her life will be in danger and I don't want that to happen. I'm already having a hard time on protecting Daniel I don't think I can protect her also.

Addie's P.O.V

The doorbell rang, I heard him greet aunt and she let him in.

"Addie! it's for yooouuu!" My aunt yelled in a teasing tone.

"coming!" I yelled back. I quickly brushed my hair and powdered my face and added a little lip gloss, and when I thought I looked decent enough I went down

"what took you so long?" My aunt raised her brow while smirking her teasing smirk I just rolled my eyes at her attitude right now.

"your early" I said

"I don't want to be late" he said

"Addie be a good lady and show this fine young man around and his room" My aunt said. remind me to kill her later when we're alone.

I just groaned and pulled Danny along with me. we where on our way to the guest room I have showed him everything that is on this house. I was busy thinking and I didn't notice he wasn't beside me anymore I looked back and saw him staring at a certain picture that was hung near my room.

I walked beside him and looked at the picture. It was the best day of my life we went to Santorini, Greece for a vacation and it was the place that I wanted to go since I was hooked up with reading percy jackson and I told them I want to go to Greece. So they surprised me and on our last day we took a picture.

"who are they?" He asked

"My parents"

"where are they?" I wanted to say they died but I don't want him to pity me. I don't want him to say sorry cause he really is not.
