she seemed a bit hesitant at first.
but if a stranger asked you if he could draw you out of nowhere, who wouldn't be nervous?
"sure," she nodded.
i sat to the left of her, telling her she could face front so i wouldn't be taking her view away.
my hands began moving automatically with the pencil gripped between my fingers. soon, the figure shapes were laid out, and after a little while i began drawing the details in her dress and the sparkle in her eyes.
i finished it off with the cherry blossom flower crown sitting on her head. carefully following the lined edge of the sketchbook, i tore the paper out and handed it to her.
"wow," she gasped. "is this me?"
i nodded. "who else?"
she laughed. "this is beautiful. thank you."
i stood up from my seat on the grass, my eyes lingering on hers a little longer before i left her.
"thank you for being a beautiful model."
