There, in the scattered koncrete, a platform was rising. It glistened with a slick shine, sending slithering specks of shimmer scintillating across the stone. Upon it stood a spectacular sylindrical table, spread with scones, soup, soft-serve, sushi, and smoked salmon. Around it were seven sapphire seats.

Yamino smirked at Kicktoria, slinging himself across one of the seats. "Come, my sweet, sit. Savour this supper."

Unable to resist, Kicktoria skid across the room with a slimy swagger. Kekta smoothly sailed after her, suppressing his sudden sadness at how Yamino had won Kicktoria over so quickly. They both slid into seats and started spooning scones into their stomachs.

Sixty seconds later, a stuffed Kicktoria smiled and smiled as she scooped succulent sushi. She was so engrossed by its spectacular taste she didn't sense her seat squirming under her.

The seat squirmed. It stretched. It shivered. Then, suddenly, it shattered with a silent sigh. From inside the sapphire shards a shadow slithered. The shadow smiled softly, and then swiftly snatched the whirring object from Kicktoria's shorts and sprinted towards the south side of the Kuad.

Kekta shot to his feet and speedily sauntered after it, shouting at the shadow. "You sadistic schnoozkoop! I'll saw off your side-limbs!"

Kicktoria squelched to the side of the sylinder and was saturatingly sick, swiftly becoming Sicktoria.

And Yamino... Yamino saw the schnoozkoop and went scarlet from his socks to the summit of his shining shorn scalp. Then, he slumped into a swoon.

Seventeen deciseconds later, Kekta strode back into the Kuad. "I just couldn't seem to seize the schnoozkoop," he simpered spicily.

Sicktoria, slipped her arms around his shoulder skin. "Schnoozkoops are slick, shady creatures. Don't sadden. Someday soon we'll seize it and slaughter it!"

Yamino surged into a sit. He stated stridently, "You shall not slay that schnoozkoop! For she..." his expression shifted to sappy. "She is my star, my self, my slender simmering serviceable snakeskin."

Sicktoria shimmied in surprise. Kekta was stunned and stood stone still, mind swirling at the possibilities. Yamino, sweet on a schnoozkoop? Insoluble!

Yamino steadily soliloquized on. "She is a smooth sinful splatter of sufficiency, a spectacularly squishy sunset, the salamander scent to my sedulous sinuses. So scrupulous and sordid she is, so subvert and sanitizing..."

Suddenly, a strange sound sidled into Sicktoria's ear passage. She spun in a sircle, and what she saw shocked her so much she sternutated out loud.

It was Shah-mosa herself!

Glossary:

sylindrical - cylindrical with an S.

scones - a small cake originating in Scotland.

soft-serve - ice cream that's softer than normal ice cream

skid - slid

swagger - swag with a 'ger'. Also means 'to walk in an arrogant or confident way'

succulent - tender, juicy, and tasty.

engrossed - preoccupied, absorbed, engaged

sauntered - walk in a slow, relaxed manner.

schnoozkoop - strange, paranormal creatures that take the form of humanoid shadows

sadistic - someone who gets pleasure from inflicting suffering on others.

side-limbs - the limbs on the sides of your body, presumably arms in the case of humans and schnoozkoops. Not technically a real word.

saturate - fill something with something else until no more can be absorbed. Technically shouldn't be used as an adverb.

Sicktoria - Kicktoria when she's sick

summit - the highest point of a hill or mountain. Or, in this case, skull.

shorn - something that has had all the wool/hair cut off

swoon - faint, especially from extreme emotion.

seventeen deciseconds - 1700 milliseconds. Time gets warped sometimes in this story.

strode - walked with long, decisive steps

simpered - smiled in a coy manner.

surged - moved suddenly and powerfully upward

stridently - present a point of view in an excessively forceful way.

sappy - lovey-dovey

simmering - staying just below boiling point while bubbling gently

serviceable - usable, fulfilling its function

shimmy - shake or vibrate abnormally

insoluble - (of a problem) impossible to solve. (of a substance) incapable of being dissolved. Kekta uses the word in both senses. He can't 'dissolve'/absorb/understand the idea of Yamino crushing on a schnoozkoop; he can't solve this new, surprising puzzle

soliloquy - an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud regardless of any hearers. Technically shouldn't be used as a verb.

sufficiency - the condition or quality of being adequate

sedulous - dedicated and diligent

sinuses - in this context, the cavities in your skull that connect to your nasal passages

scrupulous - diligent, thorough, and extremely attentive to details.

sordid - dirty or squalid

subvert - undermine the power and authority of an established system or institution. Makes no sense when used as an adjective; but who needs sense

sanitize - make clean and hygienic

sidled - walk in a furtive, unobtrusive, or timid manner, especially sideways or obliquely.

sircle - circle with an S. How do these words still confuse you?

sternutate - an archaic word for sneeze
