I stood outside of class, reading over the schedule in an effort to pass the remaining ten minutes. We seemed to have two hours of training everyday, but right now I was waiting for Quantum Physics to start. I sighed in boredom and folded the schedule before shoving it in my pocket.

"Ahlan."

Grinning, I looked up to see Alex with a goofy smile on his face.

"You're learning, see? You might not be stupid after all." I said, cheerfully.

He raised his eyebrows, unamused. "You don't want to get on the Al twins' bad side, do you?"

I laughed nervously, "Of course not. I was just teasing you." I momentarily panicked, worried that he had taken it seriously (and that I will go through hell if I made a professional prankster mad).

His smile was back and he assured, "I'm just messing with you. Don't worry, we're the most loyal friends you could ever have. We're not spoiled brats just because we're dangerously awesome."

I rolled my eyes and smiled, "I'm sure the teachers will love you."

"What's up, guys?" Alice said, walking over to us while Alex turned into a pigeon and flew off to perch on the lockers opposite of us.

Alice sighed, muttering to herself, "Why am I not surprised?" then walked over to Alex the falcon and said, "Dude, it's fine. I'm not going to flip out on you. You should thank Sam for that."

The pigeon squawked in reply, shaking it's head disbelievingly. Meanwhile more kids started arriving, one of them being Diana. I sighed and warned Alex that our teacher might come out of the classroom any second. He ruffled his feathers, jumped off the locker, and landed as a human. Show off.

Just then, a head popped out of the classroom door. "Well? Come on in!"

We rushed inside and took our seats. This room looked like a lecture theatre as well. The tables were assorted in connected rows, giving us a lot more arm space. I sat between the twins, noticing that Zach wasn't here. I shrugged at the thought. Probably late. On his first day. Wow.

"Good morning, students. My name is Fredrick Sanders, but I go by Mr. Sanders." The man looked like he was in his mid forties. His hair was gray, and faint wrinkles went through his forehead. His dimples showed that he smiled a lot in the past.

"Now, I'm going to point to each of you and you can give the class and I some information about yourself so we get to know you better."

He pointed at the kid nearest to him, who stood up and introduced herself to the class. I couldn't recall her name due to the fact that I was staring at the door the whole time, waiting for the sweet moment when Zach arrives and the teacher scolds him.

"I see you were waiting for me."

I jumped in my seat and whipped my head around to glare at the earlier mentioned idiot, "Will you stop that?"

He grinned and laid back coolly saying, "Nah, I'll pass."

Realising how he got into the class unnoticed, I narrowed my eyes and retorted, "You little–"

"And would you like to introduce yourself, young lady?"

I looked back to see the class along with Mr. Sanders staring at me expectantly. I nodded and stood up. Although public speaking made me a little quiet and uncomfortable, the idea of it did not horrify me. Not to mention there were only about twenty other students here.
