         Sadiq was facing the river side as you were facing the mountains. You just got done arguing over who's crush was better. Neither of you knew that you both liked each other and you intended to keep it that way too. Sadiq was eerily quiet as you crossed your arms and turned away from him. 

         How dare he say that your crush was stupid! The idiot doesn't even know it's him! You thought that your flirting with him from time to time again would give him hints, but no. Sadly, Sadiq was a boy. And most boys at this age and time are naive to girls' feelings.

         "Boys are stupid." You muttered under your breath. "What was that Y/n?" Sadiq asked as he turned to face you. You blushed crimson as you muttered "nothing" and watched the sunset. You looked down at your f/c watch and rose from your seated position. 

         "I have to get going, see you tomorrow Sadiq." You told him as you lamely waved goodbye and walked away. Sadiq sighed and held his head in his hands. Why did he have to say those things to you? He knew that he liked you, but he wasn't sure you liked him back.

         It didn't help when you and him argued about who's crush was better. It made him feel as if he was a loser who would never be glanced at twice in the way he wished you would at him. 'Love is pain. Stupid, useless, horrible pain.  After all, how could one simply go through this torture and hope for the best when there are so many feelings in this world?'  He thought blandly. 

         He heard the crunching of shoes over rocks and lifted his head. He found you standing in front of him with his jacket in hand. "I forgot to give this to you. Thank you fro letting me borrow it." You told him as he looked up at you questionly. "Um . . . yeah. Sure." He responded as he grabbed his jacket from your small hands. His fingers lightly brushed against yours and the two of you blushed. 

         'What am I thinking?!' You thought to yourself shamefully. 'He could never like me! we're too close! Why is my love lie so complicated?!' You thought to yourself as you began to walk away. You felt him grab a hold of your wrist and you turned around surprised. "See you tomorrow?" He asked with a small boyish grin. You rolled your eyes and gave him a small smile in return. "Definitely." You answered as you walked home before it got dark out.
