There's no way I can wear this. I call Cathy, my friend, to convince myself that she's just joking and will actually let me know where she puts the real clothes. A few rings and I hear she's being connected.

"It's a beautiful day to save lives." She greets. On a normal circumstance, I will just laugh because she's been abusing that Grey Anatomy's line, but not this time.

"Cropped top?! Really? May I just remind you that it is a business presentation, not a party." I put my phone between my ear and shoulder and inspect the clothes that Cathy has prepared for me.

"You're really gonna kick some asses with that top," she utters hyperactively.

"Prepare your ass then."

Good thing she's not physically present in front of me, or else, I would have pulled her hair already. I know that she plans this. She deliberately goes out for a walk to avoid me.

We're on our trip in Korea. However, Cathy thinks it's a good way to surprise me about this trip and gives me the notice one week before our departure. This has caused me to bribe the management to work for some days in our center in Korea just to allow my leave. I work in the finance department of a Korean company, but this overseas task that has been assigned to me is about marketing. I need to impress the VIPs to get the account that our president has been eyeing for quite a while.

Seeing that I am so preoccupied studying for my presentation, she volunteers to prepare my outfit. Such a good friend that she is. Little do I know, it's her way of avenging. She is so against my decision on saying yes to this task. No matter how many times I have explained that it's partly her fault, she won't listen.

Wait 'till I'm done with this, and you are so dead!

I check the clothes again. I can use the skirt. It's black, pencil cut. I am thinking of what to pair it with when I hear her laughing on the other line.

"I'm born ready, my friend." I scoff at her response and hang up since I am running late.

I am debating whether I should just wear that top with a jacket when my eyes catch something white from her suitcase. It's a button up long sleeve shirt. A sigh of relief escapes from my lips. This will do. It has to!

I let my hair down since it's short. I have lost my 20/20 vision a year after I started working so I have clear contacts. I normally use black-rimmed specs, but I am advised to ditch them during the presentation.

I head to our designated room immediately once I reach the building. I can see our president, Mr. Han, talking with another man who looks to be same age as his. I walk toward him and make my presence known.

"Belle, welcome." He cuts his conversation with the man he's speaking with. He's always casual when he addresses us. That's one of the things I like about him. That seems to narrow the gap between him and his employees.
