Fourteen.
Going fifteen when I saw another woman coming out of the elevator.
I like hers the most. This was what I had been doing for the last twenty minutes to fight boredom. I counted women with bangs who'd pass by the lobby since I had to wait for Cathy for God knows how long. Bangs seemed to be a thing here in Korea, and it's a pretty kind of thing. I had a side bangs and I planned to get a full bangs when I came back, Korean style.
Our office here had a small celebration for getting the KMO account. I was hell bent in saying no to it when I got invited, but Tina assured me that only my colleagues here would be attending. Plus, you couldn't say no when you got asked by the president himself. I was really scared that I might see Jaden. No, scratch that. Terrified! Even though he's a yummy sight to look at, I still couldn't face him. For all I knew, he could be so mad at me for tainting his name.
Cathy and I thought it's not okay to be wandering around alone so she promised to meet so we could back to the hotel together.
Belle:
You're supposed to be here 10mins ago. 😡Freaky Cathy:
That's what the GPS told me. #ImpatientMuchYes, that's her name on my phone. Ever since she messed up with my social media life, I changed Gorgeous Cathy, of course forced by her on my phone, to Freaky Cathy which she didn't know yet.
Belle:
Where exactly are you now? #GetHereAlreadyFreaky Cathy:
My app says I'm in Songpa-gu. #WaitBaby 😏I didn't know how long I had to wait so I went to the receptionist to ask. There were three women at the front desk. One of them was on phone and the other two were chitchatting discretely. I approached the two women.
"Excuse me." The other one noticed me first and gave me a polite smile.
"Yes?" She answered. The other woman she was talking with faced me too.
"Do you know how far Songpa-Gu is from here?" I asked while reading the name of the place from my phone.
"It's around forty minutes from here." Her native accent a little evident, but she sounded very friendly.
"I see. Thank you. Is there a cafe nearby?" That's my plan to kill the time. I was quite an impatient type of person.
"Yes. Head straight to the entrance and turn left. You'll see it on your right, near a park."
"Thanks again." I saw her and the other woman in my peripheral vision bowing when I took my way to leave. I loved how very courteous they were.
Half way towards reaching the entrance, I saw a group of people coming out of the elevator. There's no way you wouldn't notice them because they're quite noisy. They had a big ID attached to a bright orange lanyard. Two of them had a cam corder, though I wasn't really sure if that's how you called it. I could hear them talking in their language. I could understand some words but not the thought of it. Their voice got louder as I got near them. The elevator was placed at the center where it met the left side of the lobby, just at the corner of the reception table. When my distance to them got shorter, I noticed who they were.
