I turn around and start running toward the station and to Toby. When I get to the front desk I tell the receptionist that it's a matter of life and death and that I need to see Toby right now. She says she'll see what she can do but I break into tears before she could even push her chair back from the desk to stand up. Just as she goes to walk around to the front of the desk, Officer Holbrook comes walking down the hall with his hands in the pockets of his black dress pants. "Officer Holbrook, I need to speak to Officer Toby right now it's very important!" I whisper whilst the tears roll down my cheeks. He nods and gestures for me to follow him to a questioning room. "Were you or have you been in contact with Alison Di'laurentis lately?" He says while tapping his foot on the hard concrete floors. "No," I reply innocently. "Liar!" He screams across the room. Just before I break into tears again Toby barges in and stops Holbrook from questioning any further. "Leave her alone! She had nothing to do with that bitch of a human being!" He yells back at Holbrook. I run into his arms . When he put his arms around me I felt safe and that no one could do anything to Toby or me. Then Holbrook snapped back at Toby "You say one more word, and you definitely won't be walking through those doors anytime soon!" "Well, I quit!" Toby says in a confident tone. He reconsiders for a second then walks out with me wrapped around his arm. "Why did you do that for me?" I say bending down and going to sit down on one of the stairs. "Because I-I needed to prove to you that I would do anything for you, and that I love you!" The last three words kept on replaying I my mind. I love you, I love you, I love you. My vision started to blur and my stomach was doing back flips. "T-T-Toby you know we can't, I-I-I'm with Mike and you're with Spencer." I could see that what I said had clearly upset him. At this point in time, we were both fuming with rage and disappointment. "Well if your so convinced that Mike is the best guy on earth where is he?" I struggled to keep the tears forming in the back of my eyes from flooding out. " He's at his house...Jet lagged! He calls me!" Toby chuckled. "Really.... I guess no one told you." He said looking pleased with himself. Just as he goes to continue Officer Holbrook storms out of the station cursing quite loudly. He spots us sitting on the steps. I start sliding closer towards Toby even though were in the middle of the argument. He starts to walk closer." What do you want." Toby says in a stern voice. "I just thought that you two would like to celebrate for getting me fired." I roll my eyes. " No you got fired because of false accusations and there has been no movement in the Di'laurentis case!" After I said that, I felt proud of myself and I could see that Toby thought the same by the look on his face. I was happy, he was happy,we're happy.
