I made my way up the large staircase to Sienna's room. I wasn't surprised that no one was here. I thought my mom was an absentee parent. My mother was an ideal parent compared to Sienna's dwindling relationship with her mother.I knocked lightly on Sienna's bedroom door and let myself in after not getting a response. I walked in and saw Sienna passed out in the middle of her four poster bed. I tapped on her shoulder to wake her up.
I brought over her favorite Thai food and gelato. The perfect comfort food. Celene wanted to come, but she had stuff to do at home. She said she was going to make it over later. I just can't imagine what Sienna is going through right now...yeah, it's been 3 years since her dad passed, but it still hurts. I don't know what I would do if I lost my dad. So, being here for her was the only thing i could think that would make a difference. I really thought my issue with marrying Viktor was the biggest problem but it paled in comparison to what Sienna was feeling right now.
I shook her arm this time to wake her since the tap on the shoulder didn't wake her. I saw her eyes shoot open, looking puzzled as they wandered around the room. I could tell she'd been crying because her eyes were puffy and bloodshot.
"Hey, Si. How are you feeling?" I said in a reassuring tone.
"I'm okay. What are you doing here?" she was coming around from being abruptly woken up.
"Well, I brought Thai, gelato, and Clueless on DVD...plus your favorite—chewy sweet tarts!" I said as I shook the bag of goodies.
She smiled as she sat up, grabbed the bag of food and started inhaling it. I laughed because she was always a stress eater. I was the total opposite. Every time I got stressed out over anything I tended to lose my appetite completely.
"Thanks so much, Lenn. Today's been a rough day. Can you believe I just about forgot it?"
"I don't think you forgot really. You've learned not to dwell on it so it's not the first thing that is on your mind anymore and that is okay. It means you're processing your grief and sadness. We all need to heal." I said with a soft sad smile. I hate to see her upset. She's one of my best friends.
"Maybe so.. Anyways. Let's get this movie put in and talk about something less depressing." Sienna said as she smiled and got up to move over to her big screen tv.

"I aspire to be like Cher. I just love her so much." Sienna said, I could tell her demeanor was getting better.
"I think everyone aspires to be like Cher." I said with a smile on my face.
"So...I have an idea." I continued as Sienna popped some candy in her mouth.
"What is it?" She tried to talk with her mouth full and I couldn't control my laughter.
"Okay, okay. So I think we really need to get involved in something this year for school. You, Celene, and I. It'll take your mind off of all the stress you've been dealing with, too."
"What kind of stuff do you wanna get involved in?" Sienna asked skeptically.
"Class President would look amazing on college apps, not to mention establish a better reputation." I winked, reminding her of the beach party.
"Lennon! Shut up! You should run for class President. You're more book smart than I am. I can run for Vice President, maybe."
"Perfect! You think people will vote for us?"
"Why wouldn't they? We throw the best parties." Sienna winked back good naturedly.
"I have the best idea! Celene can run for Editor in Chief! She loves everything literature. I think she'll really love it."
"Kate Armand is running for Editor in Chief." I rolled my eyes at the sound of that. Kate Armand? Editor in chief? Not a chance. We have to find a way to make sure Celene gets it.
"Are you serious? She'll never win." Sienna said as she rolled her eyes right along with me.
I sat back and thought more on what I was offering. I smiled. Maybe we could run Vandy Prep this year. We were always ahead of the rest because of our family's, but class positions would be even better. We began brainstorming while putting in another movie.
