After the incident, Mona and Alexei made sure not to let either of them go outside alone ever again. Apparently, people had blamed them for the town's people dying rather oddly out of nowhere, eventually leaving a handful of subjects. Nicky had grown awfully quiet and had stopped coming out of his room. Months went by. Caleb would go outside, and be harassed by the remaining citizen's children. He'd be accused of witchery, devil summoning. Everything was his fault...and he was strangely okay with it. Even the green haired boy whom used to bully him moved away to another town! After all, the witch TRICKED him into making the deal. Of course, who'd listen to him? He was more of a loner than ever, and their was no flying away from this one. So caleb did what any other bored child would do. He started practicing magic once more. Instead, it was more light magic than anything else.

"IMPERIUM.... CHATIUM...?" He whispered, watching as the dead flower sang the song of life once again. Bringing dead things to life was easier than expected. A twinge of pride clouded his thoughts for a bit. He thought about how proud he would make his parents, if they bothered to care. As the numerous ideas of using this newfound magic swarmed in his head, another door opened. This tiny little Creek panged on in Caleb's enchanted ears. He sprang up from his crossed leg position and ran out of his room. He ran up the halls with a wide smile upon his face, until he saw the person he had been looking for.

His brother, Nicholas.

Nicholas had (finally) left his room after what seemed like forever since the incident. He was looking for something, shirtless, with a loud grumble. "Nicholas, you're okay!" Caleb shouted with a touch of uneasiness. Nicholas didn't even turn around! "Damn! Where is it!?" Nicholas hissed, taking his brother off guard. "W-where is is what?" Caleb replied, loud enough for his younger sibling to hear. The shirtless boy paused. He slowly began to turn around to come face to face with his older brother. Caleb sucked in air between his teeth. Nicholas' eyes were no longer their warm brownness he had been used to seeing. Now, they were like ambers burning in a fiery furnace!

His hair was long and matted, traces of black peeked through here in there in patches. He looked like someone caleb had never ever seen before! "My sword. I can't find it anywhere!" Nicholas fussed, but he suddenly paused, glaring accusingly at his brother. "You haven't taken it, have you?" He questioned. The whole calmness of his tone was so off putting, Caleb's eyes widened from shock. Who was the person!? Caleb shook his head, and nicholas' face frowned in disappointment. Caleb felt a huge lump form in his throat. He wanted to vomit, watching the same expression, it reminded him of the day before the incident! "Uh, would you like to come outside with me?" Caleb offered, nicky rolled his eyes. I mean 'EYE.'

"I have been outside numerous times before and nothing has changed. Except for the usual one eyed jokes..." nicky replied in a dangerously low, velvety voice. But man if looks could kill! "Maybe next time, alright?" "Sure!" Caleb added sadly.

There was definitely some changes going on with him, not doubt about it. Nicholas however, wasn't the only one. One morning, caleb woke up, looked in the mirror, and screamed! His hair had turned astonishingly white! And his eyes were bluer than ever, which was sure to stick out!

His mother and father ran in, panicked. "Are you okay, son!? We heard screa--!?" His father yelled before pausing, and observing the situation. "This can't be right...is it?" He moaned, frightened by his parents and their stunned silence. "This wasn't supposed to happen until you've turned much older. You don't think it was...?" Mona whispered to Alexei, and his face hardened. "Në lli." Alexei finished up. He bawled up his fist in anger before storming out of his son's room. Tears began to fall down Caleb's face. This was all so confusing! What the hell was happening!?  "None of this is your fault. It's perfectly natural. It's just...kind of a new thing to happen so prematurely." Mona slowly spoke to caleb, putting a hand in his shoulder.

She kissed his forehead, before walking out of his room as well. "Am I some kind of monster?" Caleb thought to himself, lost in the silence. For now, he decided to put on a smoke colored fedora just in case. He figured it'd be a better time as any to practice some magic. The door next to him suddenly opened, causing him to turn on his heels. It was Nicholas. But why would he be up this early? "Whoa. What's up with YOUR eyes? Why are you up so early?" Nicholas questioned, with a hint of annoyance in his voice.  "I could ask you the same thing." Caleb replied with a smirk and a head tilt. Nicholas sighed. "I'm trying to focus my mind. I'm surprised just surprised how you almost once again snuck off to do who knows what!" Nicky snapped, causing caleb to drop his arms and remain silent. "If you must know, I practice light magic now." Caleb snapped back with a bit of a know it all tone. The look on Nicky's face was a mixture of disbelief and fear.

"Really?" Was all Nicholas  spat out, suddenly intrigued with his brother's intrests. It didn't quiet sound like him. "Just what were you planning to do, anyway?" Caleb asked as his face turned red. "Jogging." Nicholas replied rather nonchalantly. He grabbed a small notepad and pen before grinning. His teeth, all of them, ended in points! "But since we're practicing magic I can wait." Caleb froze, and the incident years ago replayed over and over and over. His face darkened, and he sternly shook his head no. "Why the hell not!?" Nicholas yelled angrily, gripping Caleb's sweater and pushing him towards the wall. Finally, caleb has had enough. "In case you haven't noticed, your GODDAMN EYE IS MISSING!" Caleb shouted, pushing his brother to the ground. This time, Nicholas flinched. It takes a while for caleb to realize what he said. "You know I didn't --." Nicky shook his head with a bitter taste in his mouth. "So you're embarrassed of me?" He questions, tears forming in his eye. "No! No, I'm trying to protect you." Caleb whispered softly, trying to defend himself.

"So you feel sorry for me?"

"YES!"

Once again, it takes caleb a few moments to process it. His eyes widen as he watches nicky storm the house. Caleb Chases after him. "Stop. Hold on." He responds putting a hand on his shoulder. "Just remember you owe me." Nicholas muttered, turning around. "The magic practice, we're doing it, right? Nicky shrugs. Caleb stares on with a nod.
