autumn

the leaves are changing weather rearranging

for the beautiful autumn season

oranges and reds the colors spread

throughout a colorless world

greens turn brown leaves fall down

to litter the earth with beauty

they blow from the trees soar through the breeze

to color the world throughout

air nips at bare skin fall where have you been

the cool breeze kisses my lips

time to wear sweaters to protect from the weather

and find a scarf that matches

after being outside go back inside

and have a cup of hot chocolate

warm up that soul that the cold made whole

and remember the feeling it gave you

take a look around listen to the sounds

of the things fall may bring

a beautiful time of year nothing to fear

as the season wraps you in its arms

let it engulf you let it flow through

take in all of the wonder and beauty

the earth gives us feeling, the one time for healing

when the rest of the year doesn't care
